Should i buy this...reasons and opinions needed

Post by Sharp »

Im thinking of buying the full game...i saw another thread asking if someone should buy this game but it only got 2 responses and one was "if u like german" which was odd becuase there is a version in English. My real question is this game worth getting and paying the 50+ dollars. The demo was fun but since it only had horses i dont think i can get a full appreciation for hte game. If anyone has this game is it fun to do the missions and on the open game where you just have a world and create a transport empire? Is it as fun as Transport Tycoon where you can create a full fledged transport empire? thanks for your feedback

Chris Sawyer has so far never disappointed me ; unfortunately, I can't say that about Joowood.

So, I'll wait another month and put my money on Chris Locomotion. (Already ordered, btw.)

Don't buy it.

no tutorial, no instructions, nothing.

Also, controls are horrid.

Only 90 degree roads and rails. (no diagonal).

TTDPatch or OpenTTD are much better. (Music aside).

Thats all this game has thats good, is music.

Gurluaz unless you can't read, the topic says he wants reasons and opinions. AKA you're not sticking to the topic's 'rules'

do not buy it! reasons:

Post by clausclausclausclaus »

1: the land is flat. no hills at all (except scenery, on which you can;'t build anything). so the rails have no slope.

2: no diagonals.

3: user interface sucks.

4: switches are almost useless. (only to split a line in two)

5: no built-in signals. (you must patch it or wait until the add-on)

6: only a few vehicles to play with.

7: it would make a great screensaver.

8: if i have to chose: play 1 minute ttd (unpatched) or 1 week TG i will chose 1 minute ttd.

9: buggy. (it froze for me a couple times)

10: it took almost 1 gb of my hd instead of the few mb than ttd takes.

conclusion: play ttd until locomotion is released
