problems with graphics I made

I'm sure this is a common question but i've searched and can't find anything

The problem is that, having recently made my own graphics to add to the game, there is trouble building rail vehicles in the depot. Trains run fine when already built, but when building new ones only the first vehicle of the train can be built. Mutlihead trains do not work either. I can't see anything wrong with the graphics themselves. Any suggestions?

I'm running the windows version of TTD (in winXP), with patch version TTD patch 2.0 rev 1.

By the way, I'm working on creating graphics for trains in the style of Virgin Trains.

Its meant to be in red ofcourse, but also looks good in light blue and dark green. I plan to do aircraft aswell.

Thanks

hold ctrl when you build the second engine. or get the newest alpha and turn on articulated engines

Consider two things:

1. Read the manual page. You'll find it along with the FAQs particularly enlightening.

2. (Please)* contribute some nice graphics to the BR set project (also in this forum). We've got some Virgin stuff already, but it would be nice to see another take on it, particularly as there's sitll no decision on what company gets the HSTs post-privatisation. :) [/plug]

From the graphics wiki
"Did you start a new game? By default, new graphics are loaded only in new games, although you can use Cht: Graphics to activate them in existing games."

Ah. I'd been testing the graphics in old saved games, since I already had trains built to look at there. It works fine if I start a new one, thanks.

As for the BR set project, I'd be glad to give you anything I have. So far i've done the Class 86/87 (Sh30/40), 125 Hst, Class 47, Class 37, and TGV. Its a nice colourscheme, so I'll probably do all the engines (steam too).

Just as a side note, good to see you not only have good taste in trains (I love the British Rail trains....), you also have a great avatar there - go futureama!
