How to change property proportionally across all typical items?
Say I want to multiply running cost for all trucks (or road vehicles) by some coefficient. Is there a way to do it in GRF?

I'm not sure of the name of the GRF, but I've seen one mentioned recently which does allow you to change the costs of vehicles.AlphaCentauriBear wrote: ↑25 Jan 2024 00:17 Say I want to multiply running cost for all trucks (or road vehicles) by some coefficient. Is there a way to do it in GRF?
I'm also not 100% sure if it's what you're after, but it's probably very close.
Others, most likely kamnet, will be able to answer more precisely.

you might be looking for base costs

basecosts changes them by 2. I want to change them to some arbitrary multiplier.

Assuming the source code is available, I can't see why it wouldn't be possible to edit the 'BaseCosts' GRF to allow a user to specify a discrete multiplier.AlphaCentauriBear wrote: ↑26 Jan 2024 02:46basecosts changes them by 2. I want to change them to some arbitrary multiplier.
I'm not a GRF coder, and have neither the knowledge nor desire to learn, but I have a moderate level of programming knowledge so understand the likely process BaseCosts is using.

Hello
Tschö, Auge
There are a few base cost mods available in the Bananas store. Some of them with the ability to define multipliers for several categories (purchase costs, maintenance costs, cargo pay rates and so on).skc wrote: ↑26 Jan 2024 03:00Assuming the source code is available, I can't see why it wouldn't be possible to edit the 'BaseCosts' GRF to allow a user to specify a discrete multiplier.AlphaCentauriBear wrote: ↑26 Jan 2024 02:46basecosts changes them by 2.
