Question - are you intending to separate the passenger and cargo road stops into the bus and truck road station selections, or are you leaving them in both?

Road stops in Vanilla require the .grf to be recompiled with Vanilla NMLC. I'll show Fridaemon how to do this later, but keep in mind it will also require maintaining two versions of the set and will be quite labor intensive for Fridaemon. The vanilla OpenTTD version for instance will have the previous ID restrictions in place, will not support special graphics for one way roads, or waypoints due to the feature disparity between vanilla OpenTTD and JGRPP.

As of present, the vanilla support is only in nightlies, for people playing release versions of OpenTTD for multiplayer reasons, etc. you will be waiting until the next major OpenTTD release. If you want to play with this I'd highly suggest just giving the JGRPatchPack a shot, it's got a lot of very nice features for players.

I think there is nothing wrong with making a GRF specifically for one patchpack.
Especially to test out certain features (like more than 255 items in one GRF).

Also Fridaemon's work is GPL licensed, so if "vanilla" players want this in their games, they can make and maintain a fork of the GRF themselves....

The applause died down. So do it in the future! It is better to divide you into 2 options. Firstly, it is a stop in accordance with the corresponding graphical stops. Secondly, additional ones. This is "underground" and other incomprehensible, whatever.

Without the walls would be fine for multi-lane tollbooths. Maybe an option with a roof?

Petrol pump shades could be useful too, these ones are from Garry's Town Objects (might need some adjustments - I've been passing these off as toll booths haha)

There seems to be a bug in the updated version where these two buildings (see image) are unselectable as stations/stops in non-temperate climates.

It is an unreleased version where I wanted to divide the road stops for buses and trucks. The only result was only inactivation, but it was still displayed. So I stopped solving it. Anyway, you want to build a bus station, try it with truck bay :)

Bus station..? Oh, I see. I was in the bus station menu. :oops:
They are indeed placeable as truck stops.

Is there any interest in making rural bus stops like these? Its just a sign on the side of the road.


I also suggest adding gantry signs to the waypoints, for example like this one, it would look good on freeways.

This also reminds me of electronic tollbooths, where cameras mounted on a gantry record license plate data then bills the drivers accordingly, such as this one.
