Can't save games or install GRFs

Hello community,

I am asking for my brother. We'd like to have many many hours of fun playing OpenTTD.
On my Mac M1 it works fine and I can do what ever I want to. No issues!

On my brothers Mac he can't save anything.
Did anyone have similar issues? Or can point me in the right direction?

I'd be really thankful for help.

maybe the directory that contains openttd.cfg is write protected?

We have allowed the game to access the folders where it is in.
At least i think. Need to check where it is exactly.

the game doesn't need write access to itself, but to the personal directory, where the cfg file is saved. for details check the readme
