I agree with Quast65 .. seeing how you did the flowers wonder how something like that go as a farm Industry and cargo.

PS Forgot to mention .. you should enter in the screenshot competition .. this months theme is industry. You got some great screenshots here .. hardest part deciding which on to enter.

Thank you so much. Unfortunately flower fields and greenhouses are only eye-candy, as for now I don't use any industry on my map. Only passanger services, it will change when I will create connections to Europort but really appreciate support for competition. Still I don't know if any of my shots fits into the industry subject.

Industry can be from someone Industry set or make it using eye candy objects. Farms are a industry. :D

Glad you entered .. if you use FIRS and remember the industries in that set and other Industry sets then you know you have several object industries in your screenshot. You have the farms, Petrol Stations, some shops and warehouses.

I plan to make mine on the weekend and be using some objects.

Cheers

temporal8 and I tied in last months competition and we decided on the theme for this month, we told wallyweb ..
"Any industry they find in FIRS or any other industry set, or they can use objects to design their own Industry
Those who choose a Country theme could have farms, mining or industry you'd find in a country town. Those who like the city can build large industries you'd find in the city".

My theme I hope to do be a coal mining village with coal mines and a few farms around it. The place I live used to be a coal mining village and also had a coal mine, brick works and sawmill. But they all closed now but the town survived.

Cheers pal

Wow, such a cool and kind a sad story of your town. I'm curious to see your photos. I choose Netherland because I love recreating real-life places in games. When I found Netherlands map and learn how to upload newgrf to scenario maps I had to try recreate whole country in OpenTTD. It has beautiful landscape and fantastic road and rail infrastructure, awesome bridges, high-speed lines for passanger service and freight from Europort.

These old images of the town called Killingworth when the coal mine was working. Coal mine closed early 1970s. Not sure exact date. We even had a railway here, but just the foundation work remains in some places.

The local pub in 1907 .. it still here and just 2 doors down from where I live, but no longer sells beer. It a residence now.

The street I live in 1907, almost all of these houses been replaced by more modern ones. The pub would be about a few doors to the left of the photo. The place I live in most like the second house from the left but it now a brick place.

Great story! Yes, I have some old british buildings, there are commercials with shops and pubs in same style as these in your story probably :) They are also on the next shot below.

Railway station between IJmuiden and Westerbroek. West of IJmuiden there is lighthouse by the see and cargo harbour DFDS IJmuiden Terminal. Also there is church with graveyard behind it and sports area by the station - Sportpark Driehuis. North of Westerbroek there are rail and highway tunnels under the Nordzeekanaal, river that goes from Amsterdam to North See.

Like how you used part of the school. I did that school for a young boy in Greece. His dad sent me photos of it and I made it from those.

If you and other players who love using the eye candy objects dicover something that be nice added to your projects .. let us know and maye me or some other coder be able to make a version of it.

It interesting some things I made and how they are used. Like how you and I seen others use the shearing sheds (The brown colour buildings) :D

Oh so you're the autor of many objects, nice! Yes, there is one object that would be very useful in my map but there is none in OpenTTD library. It's dutch classic windmill, it would be great if I could use it. I can show you expamples if you want. It would be very cool if someone could create it as eye-candy object.

Woops I submitted before I finished typing

Might be able to remove the small building on the right and see if can make a wheel to put there. Seeing if can line it up with a river be the fun part.

Oh yeah, that is great! That's how I want to use them, along by the river, you're right. Yes, you can remove these buildings and add wheel but please, leave also that original model, I like it a lot. We can have two models, original and rebuilded.

Will do the original image .. most likely be tomorrow .. but where to put it in my object sets.
AuzObjectsFarm, AuzIndObjects or AuzObjectsTownAddOns

Looking at images on internet of Dutch windmills .. the blades are a lot longer almost touching the ground, so will look at that idea as well and the wheel that operates by flowing water. But that might not be to next week.

If not raining Friday I going train photographing, weekend reserved to try do my screenshot.

Cheers

Thanks so much. Yes, I'm trying to recreate landscape with big detail to be as much similar to dutch one as it can be. It's my first time when I'm doing such a thing in my whole 27 years of career with this game :)

Hi Finish the flour wind mill of the image I uploaded yesterday.

The purchase menu shows 4 items, but last 2 are empty .. hope to put something else in those spaces at a later date.

Only up loading it here for now until I do the water wheel flour mill. You will find it in Farm Buildings.
