Thank you, Aegir 😊

Finally I started with third view :

I had to change first two views, add some new shops, change id's and menu. Hope I'll be done soon with this.

Those trolleybuses at that depot are totally lovable! I am proud of them because in combination with yours and others grfs it really looks pretty.
I did not hope for that good looking effect, but man! You did a proper job with them as objects.
With best regards,
Špajdy.

Wow! Just the other day there was a post about the snow that made me think about replacing the Ufos and Zeppelings for clouds with some lightning . I thought that if it is not done is just because it is imposible. Well, i soppousse it is imposible, but at least the clouds are here!

All your stuff looks amazing. I have not try it yet but sure I will. Meanwhile, all my admiration   !

Btw you find this clouds in GarryG's set - Auz Landscape Objects. It occurred to me that it would be more suitable for this set 8)

I'm very glad you like it ;) I didn't want to ruin the perfection of your set in any way so I'm happy that these trolleybuses found their home in my depots :D Today I wasn't that good (because of family visit) and I only managed to draw the Burger King.

During January I'm gonna continue with that. Now I need a week or two to take a break from everything, it was too much. And I suffer from f*** health problems I need to get out of this.

So nice year to everyone, hope It's gonna be finally better than this f***' one.

Now I'm workin' on new ship depots with reldred aka Aegir. There will be probably 5 new ones. But you can choose only one of them to your game. I'll try to create all of them as overlapping objects, so you would use all of them in one game. Inspiration came from Ufiby's depots and GarryG's work. One or two depots will be in ISR style (under GPLv2).

All of them are gonna have company colour.

This is very nice work and I particularly like the "muted" colors, which make sure the object does not stick out too much. Perfect for a small boat on a lake - but what always appeared strange to me are the large late game vessels, tankers, or even the paddle-wheel steamer emerging from one of the roofed ship depots. The one from ISR-style dock with the look of a floating dry dock (top right in the linked pic), on the other hand, is fine for large ships in sea-ports but looks weird for inland waterways and small ships:

Image

Would you consider to make one more or less "invisible" ship depot, maybe with just some brick, concrete, or sheet piling retaining walls but otherwise mostly plain water and in particular no roof, that nicely blends into the surrounding, for all the infrastructure to be added from overlap NewGRFs?

Might not be very suitable for a novice player who will not easily spot it on a large map but would be super-neat for those with a focus on eye-candy ;-)

Which of course brings up the question if there could not be a depot set with more or less "invisible depots" akin to OTIS (One Tile Industry Set) for all classes of vehicles?

Just in case you run out of ideas ;-)

You're right, 4 big ships it doesn't look good. But there's one dock I used in previous game (I have no idea from which grf it came):

Didn't Quast65 released this port? It looks very good ...

Today I started with new depot (and with a delay). Inspiration came from these pictures:

I have to redraw drain and figure out how to use company colors.

I think It's possible ... with that it'S possible to use eyecandy overlapping objects to have different depots .

The floating drydock with "drexler" on the side is from marico.

Similair to your new design is the best solution i think. It works for both small and big ships., with enough realism, those floating docks exist in all sorts and sizes.

The "bridge" between the two sides is a bit fatty on your version though. On real ones the bridge is mostly to hold a tarpolin to prevent debri flying out of the dock. It nearly always 2 parts in a pointy like lock doors.

This looks great - the match to the colors of the floating dry dock is perfect and it has a very "industrial" look, a bit rusty but not too much run down.

I agree, though, with jor[D]1 that the "bridge" would look better if not that massive and maybe also change the red of the two cranes to a slightly more red-brownish tone? Really just a tiny bit less shiny but still bright enough to distinguish them sufficiently from the rest, then it will be perfect.

Still, both of them are a better match for big sea-going vessels rather than smaller riverboats to me, just too massive.

One at just half-height of the walls and maybe only one crane would possibly better integrate with rivers and channels.

Oh, I meant crane, not drain :D I'm gonna redraw it, of course with different colour.

I'll do tinner "bridge". Maybe It will look good.

Not sure how to solve size problems ... In one game you can have only depot style, so you have to choose.

The "industrial green" color in the top pic is even better than red - near-perfect to me, congratulations. Only comment: maybe try to make the "bridge" even smaller by one or two more pixel? Although I guess there will be a limit where it will look too fragile or simply show weird distortions.

The bottom "simple style" is exactly what I had in mind when I suggested an "OTIS-style" depot. Just enough to find on the map, will fit with any ship size from small boat to big container vessel, and can be expanded to whatever you like with some additional NewGRF.

I really like the top one and would choose it for an ocean-themed scenario to combine with a big seaport, but for other cases the bottom one is just perfect to me.

Strongly suggest to include both of them in your new set.

Hmm would make the top one half as high. Since it's in a submerged state and they go quite deep.
