I'll use only main shape, I don't wanna copy one hundred percent appearance. So you'll see in September. Have an ideas.

Better not keep anything of the original. Use original and on a new layer change it. Keep shape, as you said. Then give proper credit: "inspired from ....".
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
Disclaimer: I am not a copyright lawyer.
In order for something to be protectable under copyright, it needs to have a certain extent of creative effort in it (the German term is "Schöpfungshöhe"). So you can't copyright things like the shape of a shoebox, the word "platypus" or the sentence "it's raining outside", but you can copyright a shoebox with artwork on it, you can copyright a book about the platypus and you can copyright a detailled weather report.
The exact border for this is extremely fuzzy, though, so it's hard to give clear yes-or-no answers in this field even for people who are copyright lawyers (which I am not).
Generally, I'd say you are probably fine if you just take some rough inspiration from a building in another game, especially if that building is in turn based on a real-life building.

Great job, don't be discouraged by copyright. Take the basic outline and finish for our game.
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
That's not very good advice.
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
I'd also suggest this solution. Inspiration is OK, but even in case with copyleft license you can't do anything you wantperverted monkey wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021 02:03 Better not keep anything of the original. My 5 cents:

Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
For one common question, I feel like a criminal here. f*** that, there will be nothing. Have a nice day. See ya in September with an update.
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
Don't be angry, this is the correct way to feel! It means you are a good and honest person by heart.
You wouldnt have asked us otherwise.
Trust me, I learned the hard way ages ago when I stupidly and naively just used something I found. Luckily the person in question granted me permission after my sincere apologies.
But I learned my lesson from this mistake
EDIT:
By the way, the company still exists, why dont you just email them and ask?

Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
I'm not angry, I'm bored. Somehow I lost the desire to do anything. So it will be better for me to not be here until next update. And for you all too
Everytime when I use someone's thing, I write PM to this developer and ask for a permission. Except one person they gave me it. Finally with version 4 I'll add readme file with credits. Honestly, I'm ashamed I haven't done it yet. I don't want to ignore someone's copyright, in general in life I don't like to brag about someone else's work.
Thanks for your interest and kindness, but I'm not gonna do that because last days I thought about this object and I decided to remake it from the very beginning, so it will not take the form of the original. Maybe it will come, and maybe it won't. I'll see, you'll see.By the way, the company still exists, why dont you just email them and ask?
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
Glad to hear that!
I hope then that you will get inspiration back, I know the feeling...

Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
Well, start drawing then
EDIT:
A little tip for these kind of specific requests.
- Start your own thread in the forum
- Gather relevant information about the buildings (so not just simple pictures that we all can Google), so general shapes/sizes/dimensions and how they can fit into OpenTTD-world (scale).
- Maybe even start out with some simple drawings (for example the floorplan)
Doing this kind of research maybe makes it more interesting for a graphics artist to pick it up, rather than doing just a list of requests.

These are from Hungarian Trucks set and I edited these ones a little. But I don't think it's gonna be something more than eyecandy object
Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3.1: May 11th (beta)
These days I'm workin' on airport terminals. I did 4 colour variants which are combinable and adapted for rising terrain. Here are few examples.

These look great!
If you leave off the word "Airport" they could also be used as railway stations.
Just a thought.
Pete.
