Replacing Trains not in same category

Hey,

I'm sure this has been covered before but cant seem to find an answer.

Is it possible to auto replace trains that arent in the same category/type i.e. moving from Electrified rail to monorail?

I've tried sending all trains to their depots then upgraded all the track but with about 250 trains, i've spent a long time upgrading the trains manually and only done a 3rd - Is there not an easier way of doing this?

There is a NewGRF called Beul's Mono and Maglev conversion which allows electrified rail trains on monorail tracks, and monorail trains on maglev tracks. There's not many other options, except another NewGRF called "Universal Rail Type" which speaks for itself.
