Tropical Climate question

Hey,

Just wondering how the tropical climate works. is it just divided strictly into two regions that are permanant?

What i think will be nice is to make it more dynamic. e.g. planting lots of trees in the desert will eventually turn desert to rainforest. Same could be said for introducing water to the desert areas, possibly by lowering land or by building canals.

The opposite should also happen in the rainforest. If all the trees are destroyed (e.g. lumber mill), it turns to desert.

fairly pointless, but i think it will be nice to have another level of simulation.
