I totally agree with Fridaemon & Flogeza!

Would it be possible to also have versions with stairs/ramps that only go up to 8-pixels? So you can place them also next to regular foundations?

Another question, are these removed?

So, seawalls with sidewalks on them.
I only can find them with industrial concrete on top:

And if they are still there somewhere, or maybe re-added, could there also be versions without surf/animated-water and on regular grass tile, so that you can also use them inside cities for promenades etc?

That is on the drawing board. Hope have a look at it on weekend.
Quast65 wrote: 08 Mar 2023 11:13 Another question, are these removed?
Good question .. shall have to have a look cause as far as I know they should still be there.

We can do that.

But not today .. today is Thursday and on Thursdays I go train riding and taking a few videos and photos of trains and other things of interest.

I home from my train travels .. disappointed as the station I visited to video a few freight trains was tooo noisy. Workers working on a road bridge near the station has using jack hammers. Still got videos of 3 trains loaded with containers. But the trains don't sound good with a jack hammer also making a noise. Shall try again next week. Wondering if I could make these container trains for the game ..2 had 82 wagons, and they other was a short one with 76 wagons. I do intended when get chance make container wagons with the different types and coloured containers I see.
Quast65 wrote: 08 Mar 2023 20:05 Relaxing inbetween is good (also for fresh inspiration).
Trouble with getting fresh inspirations it delays me doing other projects   .

The pieces you asked about being removed they still there .. they in AuzWaterAddOns under heading more seawalls. I must re do the Object select codes in the Auz Water Objects and AuzWaterOvjectAddOns and the AuzBeachObjects so any thing of the same type be all together. For instance instead of "Seawalls" in one set and "More Seawalls" in another set, have them so they be all together. Could do same with the Jetty, Wharves, Water Objects and maybe some others.

Also possible if you have lots object sets loaded it could be hiding in the very top "Select Class of object to build". Found this problem got nothing to do with the number of objects set you have loaded, but the total number of object from all the sets.

Time for my afternoon nap.

Cheers

they in AuzWaterAddOns under heading more seawalls.
Ahh, thank you.
I had that GRF not in my list (my GRF-list is full).
Will have to see what I can remove...

Only water versions in that, so if you have time and are willing to do it, could you make versions without water?

And I spotted a couple of allignment issues:

I think those need to move up a couple of pixels, so that the grass (or water depending on where you place them) doesnt show.

The non-water versions guess could put them with the AuzTownObjectsAddOns with the "Parks + Paths".

When I first stated to make the Town Halls I was going to put wide stairs like these and then changed my mind and did the narrow ones and the ones with ramps. When I do the 8 pixels high would you like the narrow ones and these wider ones? Plan to make sets with and without the ramps.

Fixed.

Here the game file for both Water Object Sets.

I changed a few things in the Select Object Menus so that objects of the same type will be together.
For instances before .. AuzWaterObjects has "Seawalls" and AuzWaterObjectsAddOns had "More Seawalls" .. now all the seawalls should be together under the menu "Seawalls". Same with Water Objects, Wharfs and Jetty.

Here both game files. Now I see if can make a few alterations with out the water and place them in AuzTownObjectsAddOns.

Cheers

I better do both in case you bite my head off
Fiddling with the wide ones first wondering placing them on sloped tiles as well as flat tiles.

This image might give an idea how they will look. Moved them 4 pixels in so if have part of a building behind them people be able to look in the windows. Also those who chauffeured have some pavement to step out of the car on to before entering the building.

Subject: More Buildings

The City Hall type buildings I did earlier, I added 2 sets of stairs with 3 sets of ramps.
This image will give you an idea what you can make. They are all multi select 1x1 tiles so can design the buildings to be as long as you like.
CityHall5.png
These new pieces are the 3rd and 4th sections of the landscapes.

Be no coding for a few days as having a break. Maybe when I get back to doing more I might have the motivation to work on some of the other uncompleted object sets.

Here the game file if like to try.

Cheers

Perfect! I would have liked the side ramps better as rectangular ones, but I don't need to use them, do I :-)
However, I stare at how you keep coming up with new and fresh ideas and supplying us! The game is therefore more and more fun.
I also wondered if it would be possible to create houses that stand on a hill and have entrance/exit from the garage on the lower floor ;-)
I'll add some photos for inspiration ;-)
Thank you!

Have a nice day!

Yes, I think thats a good idea.
That way all the beach stuff is mostly only nature things, no big manmade structures (apart from some stairs and other small things, but thats ok).
And having all variants of seawalls in one menu is handy for finding them.
The non-water ones could also just be placed in that menu there too mate, if you weren't already planning on doing that.

Having (object)houses with custom foundations like garage-entrances is indeed a good idea!
@Belgi, I think you should also propose that idea to Fridaemon, as he also has an objectset with houses/flats that would be very suitable for this idea

I basing my design on the ones at Newcastle City Hall, Australia. The shape then depends on the height the ramps need to go and what I can fit on a 1x1 tile.
I tried to upload a photo of it but keep getting a http error. Not sure if problem is the forum or my computer.

Placing buildings on slopes is something I been looking at for some time but just not had the time to do anything about it yet. Big problem adding new objects is room in the game files.
I would like to re-code the AuzTownObjects and AusTownObjectsAddOns to make room for new objects. Add Muliti-select objects so can have a variety of objects to choose from. But time is the problem. Computers suppose to be multi=tasking .. but afraid I not .. no matter how many thing I have open I can still only do one thing at a time :D

See if I can do same with the "AuzObjectsPre1900". Looking at the town sets .. if I re-code them and have some multi-selection objects to free up IDs, I be able to combine the AuzTownObjects, AuzTownObjectsAddOns and AuzObjectsPre1900 into just 2 sets. I thinks can do same with The 2 water sets and the beach set.

Wondering these being a more land based one if they go with the Parks in Town object sets?

Suppose to be a hot day here today so no good working outside, so I should be able to go a bit more computer time instead.

Cheers all

This is one I like to work on soon. Ramps be only 4 pixels high so be interest see how I can draw them and with the main entrances sticking out from the rest of the building.

There is plenty of time for that ;-)

However, one more thing occurred to me in connection with this. And that is the revolving auditorium in the castle garden in the European city of Český Krumlov. This could also be interesting in the future :-)

I went collecting ideas today. Caught the bus into the city and had a look at the City Hall as I was curious what the surface at the top of the ramps and stairs would be like. So took lots of photos of the City Hall in preparation of me trying to draw it for the game.
The surface is tiled so I be changing the stairs and ramps I did before as I had a road surface.
See if I can do tiles like in this photo.

There is a park across the road from the City Hall and it has 5 garden beds on side of a slope so I wonder if I be able to do similar. At least I intend to try.

Shall see what tomorrow brings.

AuzTownObjectsAddOns
Subject: Seawalls and foundations.

Been working on a suggestion of Quast65 to allow the seawalls in AuzWaterObject sets to also be used away from the coast.

I started on these over the last few days and got a wee bit side tracked. On Monday when I visited the City Hall and Civic Park gave me some ideas on gardens on slopes. I did do some before, but I felt I could make some nicer ones.
These gardens have 5 rows with seats.
They can be places on the slope

Still need to do them facing South-East and make a few new paths so they align with the steps on the left and the rights.

Hope on Thursday and Friday do some more and just might have something ready for the weekend.

Cheers

I think that's great! And I would use it, for example, in the castle garden that the nobility built near their castle ;-)
