Another update to AuzFarmObjects.

I putting the track and fences in the Farm Object set as there is no room in any other set. Even the Farm Set is getting full. Only room for 20 items. Each track and fence set take 5 items.

So should I use this track or a different type like dirt or a sandy look.

Dutch mills are very different. It looks more like Spanish windmills to me.

Looks like when I searched Dutch Mills, I not notice some that was displayed was Spanish and it looked a lot easier to draw. :roll: :D

Shall research some more and see if can find a Dutch one that I can draw.

I did the stone fence, but before I upload game file will do some more.

Looking at the photo that wyndbain provided on page 93.
So where there is a gap with grass there is instead a farm road?
Shrubs on one side the farm road forming a wind break and wonder if I could do a set similar like in this image.

It does look good but it wouldnt be compatible with other tree grfs would it? I belive theres way how to load the sprite on certain place (i think i seen something like it in couple grfs), but im not sure if im not just making up things :?

These trees are from ogfx-landscape. I using mostly smaller versions of those trees.

I done the stone fences and the wind breaks with farm tracks.

Not much room left in coding so will think about what to add next.

Also wonder if I should do a completely new Farm set or just make changes to the set in use. Like to re-do most of the crops and make them multi-select so I can add people and maybe machinery harvesting some of them. If I do this to the original set, it will upset some games in use. So not sure which way to go :roll: .

Anyway here the latest version of AuzFarmObjects with the stone fences and the wind breaks.

Probably could do that .. I near sure on of FIRS industry sets had a red barn, or it might be green, but I could add them to my Farm Set.

Just added the Barns from FIRS .. there is 4 colours to choose from. Hope these will do what you wanted. There not much room left in the farm set for to many more objects. There is 10 spaces left, but I reserving 5 of them for future idea I have.

I've never seen any zoo object sets either. A few people been wanting to make a Zoo set, but not easy trying to draw the different animals.

Subject: To Crop or not to crop.


Been digging in the gardens to see if I can make the plants look more healthy as what I have at moment look so flat.

Seeing if I can remove the flat crops so came up with this idea.

In this image on left is garden raised 1 pixel, and middle raised 2 pixels and to right with tractor also raised 2 pixels. I can raise them as high as I want depending what plant they represent.

But do I do them 8 rows or 6 rows as that also allows me to add a tractor and people working in the gardens. 4 rows are to wide to fit tractor over them but it seems to fit between the rows.

Bottom row is how they would look under Solar Panels. Solar panels in all my object will face same direct as if facing into the sun.

Could do similar to the flowers as well and they look something like this.

I'd like to add these changes to the Farm Objects, but it will means changing some of the crops to be multi select so I can add a tractor and some people to them. Either I do that or just make a completely new AuzFarmObjects and call it AuzFarmObjectsReplacement.

So what do you think :idea: of me changing the crop graphics and possible ass the tractor and people working in the fields :?:

If had a addon set that mean you will have 2 sets of some things, especially with crops. AuzFarmObjects will have the flat crops and the AuzFarmObjects AddOns will have the improved graphic crops.

I am not convinced yet about the improvement...

With those red flowers, I can already see some repeated patterns (very visible in the middle), that may even be more obvious/annoying when the fields are larger.

With the green ones, they get a bit darker green towards bottom-right.
That looks nice as an ending of the field, but I think that if you place a lot of these together, that it wont look that good anymore...
I may be wrong though :mrgreen:

I think it may be best to provide us first with large examples (maybe something like 5 by 5 tiles, old and new together), before making the changes...

How would this look for a vegie patch. :?:

Once get these looking good will see about doing so different shades of green to represent over types of crops and also see if I can make look as if vegies are ripe and ready to pick.
