Had a go at doing a slope aware for the new fences been working on.
As can see by this image got a alignment issue of some pieces as the end posts not aligning properly.
Need to test on all the slopes and see if any others have that problem.
Could be Friday before I get chance to check them.

Too bad no one makes tracked vehicles (I can't learn). But still, a nice and big military barracks can be built from your graphics..

The tanks I did are easy to adjust to make look like other tanks. And move the turret forwards or add a few pixels and make it longer.
I have the templates to McZapkie's PolRoads Vehicle set and some of those can be repainted to look like the military trucks with dual back wheels.
There are some bulldozers templates that I used to make the tanks from.
So if any want those templates and like to try converting them to military vehicles let me know.

Subject: Fences.

I made the 6 sets of cream coloured brick fences for parks slope aware as can be seen in image.

Done brick corners, pedestrian gates, and vehicle access only for the solid brick fence so far.
The vehicle access has the gravel road and one with no roads. I think no roads be more suitable as access to the parks would normally be for maintenance vehicles only such as attending gardens and mowing lawns.

Still to make:
* corners, pedestrian gates, and vehicle access for the other 5 fences.
* the red and grey brick fences.
* slope away for the taller fences.

Hope by giving you access to what I done so far let you test and see what you think over the weekend. You be able to use these in game and later can change them to red or grey brick if wish when I get chance to make them.

Auz Military and Fence Add-Ons Objects
Subject: Fence Add-ons


HELP .. I running out of room in this set for fences. Have room for 46 more objects.

Hoping to use some of those IDs for more barracks and still haven't done the entry signs for Hospitals and schools yet.

Just finished the cream colours Park Fences and these used 18 ID's. To do the brick and grey brick, there is not enough IDs left.

DO I separate the Park Fences from the Military set? And start a Auz Fence Add-on Object set? The Military set can be called Auz Military Objects with Fences.

It will cause a problem in your game if you been using these Park fences that I uploaded yesterday.

The taller fences can stay in the military set as that was the main intention for them.

If any one has another suggestion please tell me soon.

I think so .. what I might in the AuzFenceObjectsAddOns is put all these new fences in this set.

I have removed the Park Fences from this set to make room for objects that you find in a military base.
Today I added some old Canons, Lighting, and 2 more trucks with duel back wheels.

I think this is a good decision. It takes a bit of work to rebuild the fences, but it's still a game :-)
And we will have more enclosures and fences. And new objects. Great!

Many thanks for making fences slope aware, they look really handy! What about protecting sky with military set by adding some air defense systems (like Patriot for example)? And to make some protection for servicemen by adding armored fighting vechicles? Do you think it will be interesting for you? Here some photos of the systems I'm talking about

There is nothing else to do but simply separate the fences from the military installations. And I still have an idea, nothing new, that some military fences should also have areas with trees or bushes... But if that's not possible, never mind, your fences are great!

That could be possible .. but it something to look at later when I get all the following done:

* Make the tall brick and metal fences slope aware. (These will not need extra IDs as they will replace the normal fences)
* Make pedestrian gates for the tall fences.
* Add some lights and MPs to some fences.
* The awning buildings see if I can make some matching enclosed ones where mechanical repairs would be performed.
* Add some signage for Hospitals, schools and maybe prison .. but maybe these could go in the AuzFenceObjectsAddOns.
* Wooden barracks .. a building version to the tents in size.

Of course there is plenty of time. Shrubs and trees can be later.

But I noticed one thing that is different in your graphics. It's about the roads. I think in Australia they drive on the left while we drive on the right. However, some roads have lanes at intersections where the car is supposed to stop and give way. And since you drive on the right, the lanes are on the opposite side of the road. Ha-Ha. This is not a major error, but I would like to know if there is a way to reset it. Probably not, so don't worry too much about it. Do what you plan to do. It's all great!

Those truck I do are from Polroad vehicle set. The Praga is parts of two different trucks. Took cab off one truck and the back off another and welded the parts together.

There are some American roads in my road sets.
When start OpenTTD ..
* go to NewGRF Settings
* select the road file
* go to Set Parameters
* here you can choose Road Style. Australian/Europe or American.

I was hoping to work on my road set last weekend, but got side roaded again doing other things instead. :oops: :roll:

I know! We've only been driving like this for about 80 years. We also drove on the left side.
But is it the same as people arguing which is better, Canon or Nikon? MacIntosh or PC? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Given there's a game setting that dictates which side of the road vehicles drive on, wouldn't it be better to have your road set detect that and adjust automatically, rather than require the user to change it.
