They wouldn't fit at 640x480 resolution.

Maybe we can use a second bar.

What about making them optional? Sort of switch or something?

I like the effor but the new icon's don't really fit the TTD scheme. At least to me, they look a bit out of place.

Ok, but I just give the idea. Someone else can draw them better, I've used the original icons of the game + the electrified one

Could you pull the spacers, or make them smaller?

And raise your hand if you use 640x480 to play OpenTTD.

Yes, but people may still want to use 640x480.

I'm one of them: Full-Screen 640 x 480 to give me the old DOS TTD feel

Buttons should auto-popup on larger screens.

Edit:

On big resloutions, ewerything really could be split out.
There is space for 4 railways, both signs and trees (What do they have tyo do with eachother?) and so on
Alcohol is not the answer, it just makes you forget the question.

I think the biggest gripe of DOS or Windows TTD is the persistent scrolling to see your accomplishment across the region. The resolution changed all that to a big effect, although there is always that scaling problem: icons too small(i live in 17" world), most popups occur at the top left and the popups to small(scale) especially the world map.

I think this would be good.
Mabye add a small arrow in the toolbar to add (or switch) to a second "advanced" bar?

i don't like it.
when i use normal rails i don't need maglev/monorail icons in my bar
and when i use maglev or monorail i don't need normal rails anymore

i think it's annoying having icons in my bar i only use half of the game. in my opinion the dropdown selection is perfect.

if really want to implement this idea, please make it optional.

hmmm. perhaps the icon with the rail could change when monorail or maglev is invented without any change in function. (still the dropdown where you can select all types)
