first pickups empty
This topic might have been discussed here, but searches yielded nor results. When I was playing original TTD in DOS, stations started to accumulate produced passengers/goods/whatever once they were built near a town or facility. In OpenTTD, a vehicle has to visit a station in order for it to start producing (ie. passengers start coming as soon as the bus comes). Is this normal behavior ? This way first courses for each vehicle are empty, thus generating loss. On the other hand, if the 'full load' option is turned on for that station, everything goes ok, the vehicle loads up and leaves.

it produce always ... only stations get cargo when a vehicle will start picking cargo from the station ...
it's behaviour which comes from TTDPatch (click to find out how it works) (but in OTTD it cannot be turned off)

what are you looking at? it's a signature!
As an explanation, the reason of this feature is the fact that when you have few money, when you build a line between to industries/cities, you start by placing stations, and you build tracks while your already present lines earn money. It can take a while between the moment you placed the stations and the moment your first vehicule goes in.
As a result, while this time, the local authority decides you are a poor service, so oly a few percent of goods will go in your station when your first vehicule come in, and it's hard to earn local authority confidence again. With this feature, the local authority don't judge your service while it isn't starting, so you get a better image and everything is better
