Wow!

With trams!
And transparent station signs! (We had those first... Hehe ;))
And nice curves for train tracks!
And nice bridges!
And build on slopes!

Looks nice, but a bit too much like the rtc graphics...

i think TTD-patch will own it at start.. just speculation tho.

i agree with raptor. it looks like ttd placed into the rct engine, which i guess is exactly what it is. I actually think it looks ugly compared to the ttd graphics, but thats just me. First impressions can be misleading though, it will prolly end up being a stormer of a game

Those curved railway bridges and roads over hills need some serious work to make them believable. And buildings still don't produce shadows, even after 10 years of the release of the original TTD. We are still very far away from a decent transport game.
...larger maps, and multiple-level bridges and tunnels instead of just land-based construction.
We agree. :D

Woohooo!!!

Finally...

I doubt if it will surpass TTD, but I have good hope. Especially concerning AI, and multiplayer :P

This is pretty s*** though, not I have to modify my site systems again... I was just near ready. s***...

My analysis of the screenshots is over in the TTD forum. Bear in mind this game is still developing. The fact Chris is in on this, and has control over it, means we're going to get a real TT sequel.

Yes, the bridges need some work, and yes it looks like it uses the RCT2 engine. So? Big deal. That just means that it's expandable like RCT2 :) I think it looks excellent sofar. There are definitely some things that need improving, but overall, I'd say this isa great combination of new features and the TTD we're used to.

I've suggested to Owen this game deserves its own forum :)

WOW!

How unexpected was this ???
It looks awesome, in so many ways.....trams!

I wonder if most of his new features will come from the TTDPatch.... He could get so many good ideas for the game from this forums... i wonder if he does secretly visit here.....

Start counting the patch features that get implemented in this game

Well I'll eat my hat and call it Betsy.
Don't worry folks - it'll come out of my system in a couple of days.

This is going to rock the pants off Transport Giant!
It looks like there will be diagonal track too (first screen, right edge)!!
There doesn't seem to be a port symbol, though - maybe it's not implemented yet, or maybe it never will be. Frankly, I don't even care - I'm gonna buy it any way.

Woo hoo

Hmm, Owen could you please interview him (again)?

Points I want to know about it:

Do we get canals?
Different Station Graphics, they all look the same on the screenshots :?
Simple ask him about all features of TTDPatch

Ohh, and how a helicopter lands on the airport :?:

Well, it's a bit toylandish now, but I think it's just the first view of it...And yes, it's very much like RCT. I hope it'll be better at the end. But, at least, there's gonna be a sequel.
Oh, and did you see that there are trams will available???!!!

I never expected that this would happen. The game looks very good for an early built.

Thats because RCT was originally made for TT2! Read Chris' site! They changed because 'trains planes and automobiles' wouldn't sell.
Now TTD is taking back its engine off the rollercoasters!

nice large and small airport.

Lovely trams!

still uses same icons!

the RCT engine means finally we can have much smoother curves and the vehicles will turn smoothly!

Locomotion .... that's mean biggest part will be for trains :(

and CS not mention that he was flooded with fans wanted TT2 :x

as for screen I hope it chane, I see not very nice GUI, rather hard
as for trains, rails looks very strange :(

I see no water transport (even no tab for it)

trains looks rather like big rollercoasters in town than real trains

summary: looks very rct-ich .. I think I would find it not very playable if I had to play it now, and playing it will bring to much RCT for me (I spend with that many hours) .... I am 99% sure it will be not better than TT even having all it's features :!:
what are you looking at? it's a signature!
