buying land

hello

how do i buy land en block ...

without going tap, tap, tap all the tapping time?

I don't think you can in trunk/stable OTTD.

That's not feasible. The main reason is its big potential for griefing in multiplayer.

As a work-around use rail tracks ;-)

i'm going to get tapping r.s.i. from all the local

authorities refusing permission ... sigh !!! :-[

Quit playing as human. Write an AI for OpenTTD and you can type all actions instead. :-D
My OpenTTD contributions (AIs, Game Scripts, patches, OpenTTD Auto Updater, and some sprites)

Well. I can in principle imagine to add a similar mechanism for the company-owned land than we have for the bulldozer and terraforming options: a server-side setting on how much you can use it per timeframe. For SP games you then could set these options to max and not be bothered by it and at the same time it would allow servers to ease the issue of abuse... Patches welcome :D
