contribution to graphic development: T.I.M train

Post by Kemsa »

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine and I have decided to help for the 32b graphism. I have created a Blender file for the TIM train, I would like to know where and how I can put it on the repository. And another question: how can we know that the vehicule/picture we made was not already made by another person? There is a picture of it ;-)

Hi, thanks for your contribution.

Where: in the railway vehicles category

How: I'd like to think it can be just figured out, but there's an old manual here

And another question: how can we know that the vehicule/picture we made was not already made by another person?
You can check the many trackers we have online. You can also check the latest few pages of the WIP threads. If there's no really recent model, then there's no reason to not make a new one. In this case, I don't recall anyone ever doing the T.I.M. so you're good.

Welcome...I think it is a good start...are you specialized in trains, or you can do even other models?

I think I can answer for him (as we are neighbor and friends :) ).
Kemsa is more into vehicles (planes, trains...).
I'm also started to work about lev1 and lev4 and for the moment that looks like this:

Not bad, but needs some corners.
--- Licenses: GNU LGPL, version 2 or newer, code and graphics. CC-By-SA, graphics, alternatively. If you're using any, I'd like to hear about it --- Call them "track types" ---
--- Mostly inactive developer for: NuTracks - Central European Train Set --- Running/compiling for: Linux (x86) - Android - Windows (32/64 bit) ---

--- Need a file packer? 7-Zip --- BOINC - use your computing power to benefit science --- Block trackers, not ads --- Unix in dispersible pellets, the formula for the future. ---

I have two suggestions..

1) Add more details
2) Use other textures to obtain a more realistic aspect (now the models are too "cartoon like" for me)

By the way, I have modeled many buildings with blender, then I know that is not easy, especially for the veichles...but I'm sure that in a few time your can do a lot of progress..

Thank you for the contribution!
