No paper wagon [Solved]

Post by BobXP »

Just downloaded Oskar's latest experimental and read the changelog, went to set moreindustriesperclimate on in the ttdpatch.cfg, loaded up TT, built a paper mill... and what do I find? I go into the depot, and no paper wagon!

Oh, and great work... I also noticed a bug with moving the Fund industy window - there's a line of pixels on the right that shouldn't be there.

Err.. are you using tpaper(w).grf, which should have been included with the experimental? That'll give you the paper wagon if you remembered to add it :)

Yes, I put it in newgrf/ and added it to newgrfw.cfg.

tpaper.grf only adds the wagon for regular railways, not monorail or maglev.

I looked in the regular railway depot too (and it wasn't there), and thought that it might only be for maglevs. It doesn't appear in any depot; however if I select Food Van (I can't remember how I got that to appear, I think it was a mis-click in the debugger) it says it carries paper.

Hm. I would try a Cht: ResetVehicles - tell us if that changes anything...

Could TTDAlter affect it?

Theoretically, it could...
Try starting a new game on an unaltered GameGFX.exe :?:

Right, I'm leaving this to tommorow, but anyway, another cht: resetstation didn't do anything, and it's not in the road vehicle depot either. I'll double check the grf file tho

Hm, when decoding the file via GRFcodec it gave me a blank sheet with 0 1 and 2 at the top... is this right?

Yes. It's supposed to be called food van, for now, because food is the same cargo ID as paper in temperate.

You got a food wagon? Hmm, do you have a vehicles.dat?
Or some other stuff in your grf file?

My current newgrfw.cfg looks like this:
newgrf/arcticsetw.grf
newgrf/cargosetw.grf
newgrf/dbsetw.grf
newgrf/elrailsw.grf
newgrf/newshipsw.grf
newgrf/signalsw.grf
newgrf/tempsetw.grf
newgrf/trkfoundw.grf
newgrf/tpaperw.grf

And I got a paper truck in temperate as wagon...

(What version did you use, Win or Dos?)
TTDPatch dev in retirement ... Search a grf, try Grf Crawler 0.9 - now with even faster details view and new features...

I had all the wagons from all the climates, which Cht: ResetVehicles fixed.
(What version did you use, Win or Dos?)
Windows

And here's my newgrfw.cfg

newgrf/signalsw.grf
newgrf/newshipsw.grf
newgrf/trkfoundw.grf
newgrf/elrailsw.grf
newgrf/newmonorailw.grf
newgrf/tpaperw.grf

I'll try starting a new game...

[edit]Nope, didn't work either...[/edit]

If you have the files of my newgrfw.cfg, then try to use mine, maybe some set changes the cargo names and then it's right...

If it doesn't work then I haven't any clue why I get the right name...

Er... these sets - could the new ships affect that? It's the only vehicles GRF in there.

Oh and did you read my earlier post

Yay, it works in the other game too! Probably just needed an upgrade.
