[OTTD] Junafanis's Screenshots

Post by Junafani »

I started a new game with 256x256 map. Very Low towns and Low indrustries.
After long searching, Speedy Transport decided to build their first railway line between Tunshaw Coal Mine and Tunshaw powerplant. Here is their first train at the coal mine. Locomotive is SNCF 140C with six coal hoppers.

And while looking for new route, we got information that local authority is giving subsidy for passanger traffic between Liverdale and Tunshaw. As both of them are big town we decided to build a busline between them.

At first we put one Principal Bus to route as we did not know how succeesful this route would be.

And few days later results are in. And what promising results those are! One bus is way too small for this rotue...

...so we put four onto it (one bus is very shy and is hiding behind the tree.)

After building bus line between Tunshaw and Liverdale, we noticed that there is another opportunity for a busline in the west between Whitdale and Loleigh. These cities look like great place for passanger line... Maybe later.

In the northwest there were Iron Ore Mine and Steel Mill between each other, so train line between them was our next project. Here it is after completition.

And our results for first two years are quite good. Obliously we have build a lot and spent A LOT of money, but we had nice 137.072 income last year.

December saw birth of our new train line between Whitdale Steel Mill and Whitdale Factory. Again our choice of locomotive was SNCF 140C as always. Not that they are fast or powerful, but they are quite cheap to run and build.

Whitdale Factory at middle of nowhere. At left are steel unloading platforms and at the right are grain and livestock unloading platforms.

Small grain train leaving farm and heading towards factory seen at previous picture. Too bad that farm is small and does not produce much. Maybe our company can help with that by providing service.

Three years on the right side of zero. Too bad that we are still having that loan, but we haven't had any time to sell it off as we have been busy expanding our network.

After half month we had money to build a livestock train for our farm line. Trains are quite expensive in 2cc.

After getting that first farm line running we expanded line to the other farm at Tunshaw. It was basically straight line from the other farm.

Because we build a train line between Lowhit (Loleigh and Whitdale) and Livertun (Liverdale City and Tunshaw). Both stations have four platforms. Company really hopes that route is profitable as it was very expensive. Those overhead wires are not cheap!

First train at the line is Mat'36 with one trailer car. When first train arrived at Livertun platforms were crowded with peoples who had never saw a electric train and were very intrested.

At Loleigh we built a tram line from city centre to the new station for easy accees.

It is 1910 and it is time for Rundale City Transport's first ten year recap!

So, Rundale City Transport was founded in year 1910 and began searching suitable place for first line. There was small island in southeast of comanys's operating area and it had three small towns, so it was perfect place to start.

And here is first train of company approaching Finport Beeches. Locomotive is just small 4-2-2 spinner with two Clerestory carriages. It is quite small train, but two of towns which it visits are quite towns with few passengers. Oddly, Finport Beeches is not quiet station as it has over 1000 passengers all vaiting to go to St. Newdon. St. Newton on other hand has around 50 passengers waiting to go to other way. I wonder what is so intresting about St. Newdon?

And this is whole transportation network for island. Finport and St. Newdon both also have horse carriage running between railway station and city centre. As island experiement was succeesful, Rundale City Transport (RCT) decided to expand to mainland.

Wruntstoke was first city to receive train station in mainland. City has expanded a lot in few years as it had originally about 1000 people living in it. Station and tram network needs expanding soon.

Here is 4-4-0 Edwardian in Fresby which is currently place where Wruntstroke line terminates. Wruntstroke line originally terminated at Quarningdon Green, but it was extented to Fresby. Fresby has big train station as Fresby is next to big lake that has many other towns next to it and it is going to be end point for many trainlines.

And here is mainland routemap. Next thing to complete is ring track around lake in the middle. After that I have no idea. Do I continue north from Wruntstroke or do i continue to west as it has more cities? Preeby Cross is also going to get train line to Runworth as it is nearest place to St. Nendown. I hope those island dwellers can stay in their island for a little longer as nobody has desingned suitable ship for RCT's high standard. (Forgot to put any ship GRF in as normally I do not use them. )

Ok, It is January 1920 and time for another look.

After 1910 company's full attention was on circle line around the lake and after few years, it was finally completed. Currently only clockwise service is run, but anti-clockwise service is coming soon.

And here is Wruntstroke Common. It has now 13 000 people living it and looks like it is not going to stop there! This groving city is creating problems for transportation company as companys older trams getting again busy even after expanding tram network in 1910's. But when we though that all hope was lost, Metro-Cammell came to us and said that they have this new kind of train that moves using electric engines and taking power from power rail. Company decided to test run thins kind of train and build railway to Pesburg which is small town near Wruntstroke. There is also ring railway being build around Wruntstroke to help congestion of trams.

Another electric railway was also build from Wruntstroke to Finpool via Aberdingsay. Pesburg railway is not popular and is just barely making profit, but this railway is very popular and looks like we need to upgrade our train soon to have another unit. Another electric railway was also build from Quarningdon Green to Rendon Green. This is done for those peoples that would like to skip that busy Fresby station. Quarington Green is also getiing ring railway to help trams, since it is also having 7000 people living in it.

Runworth is busiest station in line and it is soon getting harbour that connects it to St. Nendown via ship. When harbour comes, we are going to run special ship express trains from Preeby cross to Runworth and back. We are currrently testing concept using 1 four wagon train that you can see arriving to Runworth platform 2.

And here is busy scene at Preeby Cross. Train servicing ring route is approaching station from direction of Liverstow, while Runworth ship express is leaving it towards Windwell.
