Simutrans : pak 96 comic

Post by This is my name »

This pak is fast developing, so be sure to check out frequently :) .

Welcome to...
Pak 96 Comic!

This pak is the comic version of Simutrans. Nicely done, this pak is one of the most consistent and neatest (well, not really :P ) I've ever seen. Furthermore, it is 96X96, so people who don't like pak64 and 128 scale may use this :) .

Let's not talk longer. These are the features which made pak 96 comic popular amongst members.
  • Consistent artwork compared to pak64 and 128
  • Easy to contribute graphics without much training
  • Unique comic style
  • Different climate zones and architecture
  • Simple but detailed graphics, which means you can concentrate more on playing the game
Teamed by sojo, Alex. Brose, Tomas, luki haba, some Dutch members and other members, and myself (Qayyum), this pak would be one of the most developed pak here in Simutrans forum. The Simutrans members have feel the uniqueness of pak 96 comic, so why not you?

That IS an exceedingly neat design choice. I think this pack might prompt me to try out the program :p

Kindly attach the screenshots, instead of inlining?

You're table-breaking.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

All things nice but can you refit your images to the maximum allowed width. At the moment your images are table-breaking.

How does installing work? According to what I can find in the SimuTrans doc, you just have to unpack the stuff in the Simutrans main folder (so that everything is in \simutrans\pak96.comic), but I get a crash:
alles_geladen()
12skin_besch_t-object: Builder not found
***PLEASE INSTALL PROPER BASE FILE AND CHECK PATH***

Try downloading back pak.96 comic. Seems something missing :? .

Also, pak.96 comic requires Simutrans 1.0 or later. Simutrans 1.0 has severe performance issues due to a bug, so you'd better go with the nightlies.

Suggestion: make the tramway-related construction unavailable until tramways can actually be produced. It's really frustrating having to tear out an elaborate tram network when you realize you can't put any trams on it 8o

There aren't any trams yet. If there are, it's from A. Brose and still in testing stage.

That's what I'm complaining about :p You are lead to think you can build them (why else would everything be there?) and then fiddle for 20 minutes until you give up in frustration when you realize it's not you: there really are no trams. Hence the suggestion disable tram tracks/the tram menu to begin with.
