When I want to start TTDLX via ttdpatchw.exe I've got that error message in a DOS box (attechement)

I want to play the game with the new vehicles, buildungs etc.

I've downloaded the *.grf (graphic files) and created the folder newgrf in the orig directory.

But when I want to play the game that messages appeares.....

What must I do that I can play with the new graphics?

(I use WinXP and sorry for my bad english. I am German

)

I hope someone can help me...thx

I think (sorry, I can't understand the German very well) you need the latest alpha version from http://www.ttdpatch.net/src/ (the actual file is http://www.ttdpatch.net/src/latestw.zip). 'Showfulldate' and the new graphics only work in the latest alpha, but (please correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think it's translated into German yet.

For those interested, the message says:

"TTDPatch V1.9 (Windows) started.
Invalid configuration switch 'showfulldate on'.
Press any key to exit the program."

What this most likely means is that you are using an alpha configuration file with a stable release program. Delete ttdpatch.cfg, then run TTDPatch again and it will create a configuration file for you. You can then edit that at your leisure.

Why don´t you just install the latest alpha?!
It works perfect, and it has never crashed (for me, at least)

The alphas are almost as stable as the 'stable' version

No, you're certainly not alone here Beckz. I know there are several German peoples here on the forums though I am not one. However,

I was surprised at your impression, since:

Maschinelle Übersetzungen sind gewöhnlich sehr offensichtlich.
Übersetzungen zu Deutsch müssen besser sein als ich habe gedacht!

if your english is good enough (if you know what yes and no means) you'd probably will be better of with the english version...

übersetten ist arbeitsintensiv, darum ist die deusche ttdpatch meistens alt

never came to my mind that talking german was hard....

I have the english version

All my games r in english. My grammar is not perfect in english that's the prob.
For me it sounds good

@Petae: Right German version is:
Übersetzen dauert meist zu lange, deshalb ist das deutsche TTdPatch in der Regel veraltert.

@Sokko: At school I had english for 9 years. But school is past since 5 years and soooooooooooo my grammar is gone. Damn shhhhhhhit

@ALL: Can I play the game in 1280 resolution? Cause my TFT must interpolate 640 res.

Yes, it's annoying but it's simple
Either change screen resolution to 800 by 600 and play windowed or play full screen

Yes I know but then my TFT must interpolate. That is my prob but as I can see there's no chance to change it
