Martha's Vineyard

Post by samsonite »

A scenario based around the island of Marthas Vineyard off the coast of massachusetts. i made the landscape using ampz's map generation program. please try it out!
Goals: achieve a monthly profit from vehicles of $400k and be among the top 3 performing companies

7/23/08- realized i forgot to put vegetation on map. will update l8tr.
7/24/08- response to comment- the shape was made by mapgen, but i flattened it and created terrain myself.
7/27/08- updated map with vegetation and added scenario details to message body

I'm happy that someone has put massachusetts on the map... any chance you could whip up one on the Merrimack Valley, from Pepperell to Salisbury?

just a few suggestions when posting a map. http://www.tt-forums.net/viewforum.php?f=39

Included a name and description.
Included the objective.
Included the difficulty (Beginner, easy, intermediate, hard, challenging).
Included the number of competitors maximum, and when they start up.
Included screenshot(s) of the scenario
and what mods are needed.

I noticed that You need a few really old mods on this and your other map. in fact, one of them was abandoned for a while and unavailable. it is now back in a nostalgia pack.

Perhaps you could just post a clean version of it so people are not looking all over or installing mods that they would not normally install for the 4 trains you require. then you can recommend what to use.

another thing i noticed, (beside 100% lack of any vegetation) is that you said these are mapgen generated maps, yet this is quite obviously a "hand built" land mass. (I am not saying that is bad, that detail just caught my attention.)
North American sets and then some...
US SET Ver 3.1.0 updated ~ Amtrak Pack 3.1.0 ~ US Passenger/Metro Set 3.1.0 updated~ Auto Factory 2.6 ~ VIA Rail Pack ~ LTD ED1 Conrail Alcos ~ LTD ED2 NJ Transit ~ DBR E60 ~ TGV Duplex ~ Umbrella Corp. ~ Comboios de Portugal~ Dekosoft UP/BN/BNSF Sets ~ ICE // MegaPack = 1.0.3.

When I try to load this scenario I get the error beginning AMIGTWRR is missing. Any clues as to what I need to download to resolve this?

Thanks,

I think that's from strongbow's great western railway set
May the force be with you.
For little boys, three things reign as supreme attention-keepers: tanks, heavy construction equipment, and trains, we all know why where here.

Bookmark it. There's a lot of add-ons there. That should be your first port of call if you're missing one. That or the German site.

Thanks for the replies. I found this link in the Strongbow Packs from the AMITrains link which I assume is what I'm in need of: AMI GTW Narrow Gauge Community Pack 1.02 Full Version - (4MB, .zip). However the link gives me the following error: "The requested URL /downloads/ami_gtw1.02.zip was not found on this server."

Is the zip file located anywhere else?

:(

You're right, Andel was probably randomly deleting my packs again. :P

Anyway, I re-uploaded it, try again.

Thanks Strongbow, that worked fine this time.

However I've now got another missing element!! Where do I find LTGENESI from? I tried a search on the forum, but no results come up. Any clues as to what this data set is?

I'd guess something from Illegal Alien, he used the LT prefix.

I believe it can be found on Amitrains, one of the Locotrains packs. I may, of course, be wrong.
