Seaplanes and sea airports
I've seen talking about it somewhere around, is there some GRF around with it?

Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
to use sea ports you need to have richk67's airport patch, plus the airport grf he gives with it. For the sea plane itself, I've seen a GRF with a sea plane on a thread (don't remember which though; use the search function to find it)
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
err, where can I find that patch? And, what specific GRF got seaplanes too? I kinda don't like forum archeology....

Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
Look for newairports or something like that in development section. For seaplane: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... a&start=20. It's somewhere there.
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
Aw. I found 2 seaplanes so far, but it might be enough
But, I found newairports thread...and after going through it, it seems like that sea airport is availble via airportsextended.grf. But I haven't found it...

Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
You need to get everything ( patch and grfs ) from svn. Everything is in the thread.
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
awch. How can I get it? I'm running on Linux now...
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
To install SVN see: http://subversion.tigris.org/
To learn how to use it: see above
OpenTTD repository is available at: svn://svn.openttd.org
Notes on compiling OpenTTD under Linux are here: http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/GNU/Linux (also how to install SVN)

Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
Thanks. Gonna get it later then. While waiting, I managed to find link at zip with some earlier windows version of newairports (it was in that topic with seaplanes), and managed to run it via Wine...
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
You need to add seaplaneport.grf to your NewGRF selection. By default it is in the /bin/data directory of the .svn.
OTTD NewGRF_ports. Add an airport design via newgrf.Superceded by Yexo's NewGrf Airports 2

Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
Allright, thanks. Looks like there's a need for a seaplane grf...gonna take a look and MAYBE I can draw something when I have time...but I can't code.
Re: Seaplanes and sea airports
There are a couple of experimental seaplane .grfs kicking about. One for a Be200 (ask Grigoriy for it), and another for a Boeing 314. There is also a Shorts Sunderland somewhere.

Yea, that's 3. To make it really usable it needs at least 12. Gonna try to find and draw one or two, and IF it's good I'll make a list and draw hydroplanes for whole 1930-2050 era...and hope someone will code it.
