Standard 30.x from NVidia. Have tried the nev 40.x drivers too, but they bug a little bit. (As all the MS certified drivers from nvidia do ;) )

Do you have the refresh problem in the 2x.xx sets? I have to use a program to keep my refresh settings away from 60hz when the game changes resolution.

ok, i have tried the 30.82 that is on nvidia.com
my benchmark is 30 points less
so they are good too

you are right , when i go into a game like unreal or UT2003 my monitor goes to 60 Hz

that fix ? is that the program nvreffix-setup that i found on the internet ?

when i run it, it says i have an outdated device list
i click on supported devices and see my card geforce 3 ti 200 with device key nv20_1

when i try to do un update , it wants to connect to planetquake, but as usual my proxy server doesn´t allow this

then i go to the site itself: http://www.planetquake.com/ztn/nvreffix/

i see as comment : Doesn´t work with the 27.41 and newer drivers

so how can i use it then ?

The driver at http://www.nvidia.com supports all nVidia GeForce chipsets. It´s a bundled driver. It just disables features not avalible to the card.
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

I got another program that worked a bit better than nvrefix. I´ll post it or a link if I remember it when I get home. I got an "outdated" list error too, but it didn´t help. I have a Hercules GeForce3.

As long as it is based on the same NVidia chip.

I think the program was called ReForce or something.

WHY DO YOU THINK I USE THAT DRIVER?

What do drivers do? <--- Find the answer to that and then you will know the answer to your question.
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

Driver = Software that operates a piece of hardware created by the hardware manufacture company. Often a different driver for a each operating system.

Now do you know why?
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

Lets clear up the misunderstanding here

Post by anaconda »

Combat: Spaceman wants to know why you are using THOSE drivers, and not the lates, or a driver at the 2x.xx set. (you are using 3x.xx) He is just curious if they are faster or better or more stable than the other ones.

Spaceman: Combat misunderstood. He though you asked him WHY he is using drivers :)

Ok? This is like being back in the kindergarden. :)
