Freight train derailment near Castleford

Someone pointed this story out to me today, and as I saw that it was not apparently pointed out here, I thought I might as well post the link...

An empty freight train derailed outside Castleford. There were (are?) suspicions of earthquake being the cause.

Very rare that a loco jumps the tracks. Its usually a wagon further down the train. I suspect a points failure may be the cause.
