Good news everyone!

All vehicle properties have been reviewed. I tried to use as much real vehicle data as I could find and made assumptions for missing data. Only capacity uses different values for gameplay reasons.

Cost values are recalculated as well. Purchase cost factor is now 1.8 * weight [ton] + 2.2 * sqrt( power [hp] ) + 1.4 * length [m]. The running cost factor is 0.7 * capacity [passengers] + 0.3 * speed [km/h] + 0.5 * sqrt( power [hp] ). I think this gives reasonably balanced values between vehicles. Resulting cost values are balanced against the default vehicles: trams are a bit more expensive to purchase, but cheaper to run than buses.

These changes will be available from tonight's nightly. I think this nightly is really very playable.

One big tram company is missing I think, The NZH (Blauwe tram). They covered the western parts of holland from ±1920-1960. And had different tram types like the budapester shon below.

I agree, that is a very interesting company with beautiful rolling stock. But also the steam trams will make a nice addition like the "Gooische Moordenaar" (Gooische Murderer, named so because it didn't only transport a lot of passenger  ).

Trams don't draw themselves. Thats the main reason why not all historic Dutch trams are included. Feel free to draw some sprites and I'll happily include them :)

Some news, or basically a request...

Version 2.0 of the Dutch Tram Set is almost done. At the moment I'm looking for playtesters and translations.

Playtesting
If you want to start a new game with the Dutch Tram Set, feel free to use the attached version instead of the RC1 you currently find on the online content. You can consider the attached version a beta of the upcoming release, but it should be fully playable.

Let me know if you find any bugs in the set!
(Recent OpenTTD nightly required)

Translations
English, Dutch and German translations will be provided, but other translations are accepted. Do you speak a different language? And do you want yourself and others to be able to use this set in your own language? Then you're warmly invited to provide a translation. You can find the current translations here: http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/dut ... /show/lang just copy english.lng and stick to the format provided. And just remove the lines you don't want to translate.

Thanks!
If you want, you can even translate the readme (that's a lot of work, so just the ingame strings is perfectly fine as well).

i have an issue with RC1, i have an older savegame that according to rubidium's known GRF list is using r87 of the Tramset:

FBFB0102 BD9EA816D516F66CBE5C793BEF8DBE54 Dutch Tram Set r87

but it will not detect the new version i got from banana's:

FBFB0102 803D38F242F016C4A8212FA05C0F9B7E Dutch Tram Set - Release Candidate 1 (r26)

and based on that list we have even more versions:

FBFB0102 17AAA28E54358B170ABA7D11AD5FB9D1 Dutch Tram Set - Release Candidate 1 (r26)
FBFB0102 803D38F242F016C4A8212FA05C0F9B7E Dutch Tram Set - Release Candidate 1 (r26)
FBFB0102 A15B0E4BCC641D182B9BC7434E4698B2 Dutch Tram Set - Release Candidate 1 (r26) - LV4 compatible
FBFB0102 BD9EA816D516F66CBE5C793BEF8DBE54 Dutch Tram Set r87
FBFB0102 D7D260324D45931796D1BA3EF6EDFC8A Dutch Tram Set - Release Candidate 1 (r26) - LV4 compatible
FBFB0102 FF36ECFC309CE45F6A340ADE2D3A2FF2 Dutch Tram Set 2.0.0

is any of these compatible with r87? is there a way you could at least make the game recognise the newer version as update/replacement for the older ones?

r87 isn't RC1. In fact, RC1 is significantly older than r87, so it's not an upgrade but a downgrade (which will break your savegame if you attempt that).

However, anything newer than r87 should be compatible with it (no guarantee). This includes 2.0.0. 2.0.0 is r112-based in case you're interested. From there it should be simple math what's newer and what's older ;)

I just saw that nightly release v6896 was published on November 18th, but the change log hasn't been updated since 2015. Anybody know what's changed?

Since the last release one vehicle has been added (HTM Avenio), a bug has been fixed (sprite alignment in depot and detail screens) and a bunch of translations have been added. The nightly build was triggered because of such a translation update.

Is it possible to still find this nightly somewhere?

EDIT:
