[OTTD] Calamarain's Screenies

Iron Ore mine with station (pity it's a coal mine station... close but it'll have to do as I'm useless at graphic work...), and a little harbour area I made during my lunch break at work this afternoon...

They live in the Container Freight Station & Harbour set. The harbour's freight area is made of single non-track tiles, so you can build then to your liking.

I was just wondering why you don't use the elrails grf (for overhead wires)?

It was just one of those days you get from time to time when you can't figure out why an electric engine refuses to be built, then realise it not an electrified depot, but don't want to change over the railtype. (I also forgot to turn on full detail as well... )

**Trundles off to make a few 'adjustments'**
**Trundles back again, adjustments made **

This is one of the small villages on the Suburban Loop. The trees in the cutting were recently pruned to prevent birds leaving 'presents' on passengers' heads and also to let more light into the station area.

The first station built on our network was at Accbridge. This route which started off as a single line with a Tram Engine and two passenger carriages has grown substantially and didn't take long to merit double tracks and some 4-4-0 'Express' locos to run on the shiny new rails!

Avonwich is just down the line from Accbridge, and although a train service was available it was just too small to warrant a bus service as well. This may change in the next few years though...

Situated in the midst of a picturesque woodland Chunby Station is another of the less busy stations. The local authority is quite impressed with the service that is provided and CalTrans Ltd should have no problem implementing their bus service in the next few months.

Going further down the line we come to Dunhattan. This is one of the busiest stations on the network and plans are currently being drawn up to add another platform and an express non-stop service to Stanminster.

Dunhattan Station, after the expansion programme. There are now three platforms, as at Stanminster, and provision for another two has been guaranteed. The area reserved for the future platforms is currently being used for the Dunhattan weekly market as their current indoor building in the town centre is being renovated.

Do you ever play in the steam era? I ask this because none of your screenies show steam locos only diesel/electric traction.

I have kept the Tram engine and one of the other steam locos (can't remember which) polished up and ready to haul a special service, just didn't take any screenshots of 'em running...
I'll reload a savegame from early on and see what I can rustle up!

The 0-6-0 Tram Engine affectionately known as 'Toby' trundles down the line towards Avonwich, while one of the much larger and faster 4-6-2 "Merchant Navy" locos passes by, heading for Accbridge. This small line has gotten busier in the past ten years and the smaller Tram Engines can hardly cope pulling two passenger carriages and one mail carriage up the hill towards Accstoke Beeches, and 'Toby' is set to be retired. He will be preserved for display in the company's HQ, and on occasion will haul children to the seaside.

That's another thing :P Trains in the UK run on the left track (I believe they do in (Northern) Ireland too). Otherwise nice, not sure about the cream livery, a tad... garish? ;)
