A little help (Sorry)

Post by Barnaby88 »

I have Open TTD and I would like to add patches and downloads but I can’t because I don’t know how to install them. I have found a few posts explaining how to do it but it’s to complicated. Is there a thread to explain to dummies like me?

Also why I’m here is there a patch to replace rail tracks on open TTD instead of having to delete track and re-build.

Sorry for being a pain

Thanks

development section, "BuildOTTD" topic on top, download, install, press the button "update and compile" and search in the documents folder for the "my openttd" folder

more easy than this... :)

Well I have installed it but it won’t open so your dummies guide is flawed! LOL. Why can’t it be simple!

Like upgrading tracks from plain railway to electrified railway to monorail to maglev?

Don't need a patch for that. There's this little button on the construction toolbar called "Convert Rail": Image

More infos on that right here: http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Convert_rail

You must install .Net Framework 2.0 from Micro$oft.
