Problem with compiling in Yellow Dog Linux

Post by tycoon25 »

Hi all, I have recently bought a PS3 and am very impressed with its capacity for graphics and processing. I have even tried to install OpenTTD 0.5.1, typing make, then make install. I get an error (1008 and something about the configuration file) while trying to run "make install". I am doing it as root and have SDL installed. Any ideas?

EDIT: Will post the log soon.

What version are you trying to compile? And give the complete log of the compilation process, so we can actually see what happens instead of only a number.

This is the output, I havent specified all the files with the arrow. Just the last ones. And I did run that command, make upgradeconf.
===> DEP yapf/yapf_ship.cpp
===> DEP yapf/yapf_road.cpp
===> DEP yapf/yapf_rail.cpp
===> DEP yapf/yapf_common.cpp
===> DEP yapf/follow_track.cpp
===> DEP helpers.cpp
Makefile:1002: *** make install is highly experimental at his state and not tested very much - use at your own risk - to use run \"make install INSTALL:=1\" - make sure Makefile.config is set correctly up - run \"make upgradeconf\". Alto.

As the thing already said: "make install" does (almost) never work properly in that makefile stuff. "make upgradeconf" isn't needed either, because it will automatically do that IIRC.
