A question, what happened to the copy paste ?

Post by Double P »

I know this question is maybe obsolete, but what happened to the copy/paste??? I played the last MiniIn for a long time, and I downloaded the latest nightly yesterday, and it isn't there. Will it be in the following releases or is it abandoned forever?

The copy & paste patch has never been in trunk, and thus never in the nightlies. It has only been in MiniIN and custom builds.

8. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Problem with GRF action 2", "Cannot build new stations", etc.
Maybe try.. 'what happened to 'copy and paste?' or even just reply in the 'copy and paste' topic! ;)

Which "many people" are you talking about?
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

How confinient a central topic for just asking "a question". :)

Can someone explain me the term "in trunk" does this mean it will be included in the next release or does this mean that is in the nightlies and not good enough for a release. Who and how is decided what goes in a release?

Thanks.

I saw some dudes naming topics like "Newbie", "Hello... A question", "Question", "Some questions", "Newbie question","Help","Help Please",...etc.
Don't think anything bad about them, you can find more topics like these above, just search the forum

So because person X kills somebody, you are allowed to kill somebody too?

Not to mention that most of the authors of these topics are flamed upon because they did not use a proper topic title.

Strangely i have found the topic in the suggestions page here i had heard somewhere that the this patch will never get into the trunk. Not sure if this is for coding reason or just a feature they just don't want to include.

I asked to move this to the developement forum (quite at the beginning of the topic),
but apparently nobody important noticed it ;)
