My trip to North Wales

Post by orudge »

For Raichase mainly, here are some photos (and videos) of my train journey down from Leuchars, through Haymarket and Warrington Bank Quay to Flint. I started taking photos with my digital camera, but the battery ran out on the 3rd shot, so I switched to my phone. Plus, the camera photos aren't up just now because I forgot the cable.

Photos are labelled, although not all of them are very good. Plus some video (in MPEG-4 format, should play with QuickTime). I'll upload those to YouTube too, in a moment or three.

Enjoy!

Further proof of a cock up - this merely mandates my refund request.

Ah, maybe it was Lancaster. I couldn't quite remember where I had and hadn't taken photos. :P Didn't really help that the phone took about 5 seconds to take a photo.

Did you not even enjoy the videos, Andel? :(

No. A cheap rip-off of "A Journey to remember" (1983) by Mr J. Bollockov.

The videos have been uploaded to YouTube, and I'll edit this post when they're actually available. ;)

EDIT: And there they are!

Another reason for Andel to get his money back is that the "SPT 158" is actually a 156....

Well, I liked them. Some of them were a bit odd, and I think that bridge in the video is a fake (no bridge can be that long, thats as wide as Wales itself!), but there were some cool station pictures, as well as some cool trains on display. Also, another photo of orudge!

The GNER 91 was a nice catch, as was the video of the Super Voyager coming into the station.

I got me a shiny new Canon Ixus 70 or something today (cost price :D), so I'm going to go a snapping on friday, most probably. If I'm not too hungover....

Heh, there are much longer bridges in the world. ;) It surprised me somewhat to read of bridges that are over 20km long... insane. The Forth Bridges are fairly low down on the length scale. ;)

Yes, I liked them, particularly the video of the Voyager arriving. :D

Unrelated, but I took a pile of vaguely arty photos today on my walk up the mountain. I'll stick them online when I get home, or when Tom gets here (if his laptop has a memory card reader... I think it does). :)
