Yes, because I build lots of forests to get my rating up, as I slowly put a mountain down... If you want to see tress, then no problem ;)

A new game. This time I'll make you happy, and I made a big forest to mask the ugly mountain (I lowered a lot of it).

First one shows the depot set-up, while the second shows the cheats I use.

Build on pause isn't a cheat here since I'm alone, and even against the AI it isn't: AI doesn't pay for lowering-raising of the land, I build when it can't.

And the tunnels cross each other, I don't abuse it, you can see that I have put two tunnels under another two, because they are too short to look realistic.

The junctions are messy, there is a half-cloverleaf and a trumpet junction, which will get replaced with something better when more money is available.

Why do I get so few replies? Anyway, I started a new game. I modified Oskar's Basetunnels to remove the unifiedmaglev check and thus make it run on OTTD, but I won't give it to anyone as I don't have permission to do so.

Code: Select all

[newgrf]
# Town Buildings
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Town\ttrs3w.grf = 0 0 0 1

# Misc
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Misc\fontreneww.grf

# Infrastructure

D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Infra\newbridgesw.grf = 3 0
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Infra\usroadsw.grf = 1 0
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Infra\pb_viaduct.grf
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Infra\basetunnels.grf
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Infra\shipdepotw.grf

# Land
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Land\stolentreesw.grf

D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Land\newwaterw.grf

# Vehicles
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Vehicles\newshipsw.grf
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Vehicles\pb_av8w.grf = 0 15
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Vehicles\pb_hovs_bus.grf
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Vehicles\troprs_w.grf
D:\Games\OpenTTD\data\newgrf\Vehicles\pb_ukrs.grf = 0 3 0
Let's start with first screenie, I'll post more as the game progresses.

#1: Lugoj started as a medium sized town, but it has quickly expanded to thanks to the only coal mine on the map, which is producing expensive coal for E.T.C. (Express Transports Corp.).

The company invested heavily in a local bus line, and as the town has grown, it has been connected to another city, having two Standard Fives on service. As the route is profitable, E.T.C. is interested in purchasing more trains.

#2: The depots where the coal trains are stored, fixed and cleaned are close to the power station in order to keep the electricity price low.

The intercity passenger line is connecting the two cities directly with no branches or merges. The engineer who designed the line said that you can get from both cities in less than 30 minutes!

#3: A new coal mine was built, so E.T.C. put a shunter there.

I'm not a do-gooder, but...

The readme specifies that Basetunnels are for TTDP only. As the graphics belong to Oskar they are actually legally binding. Up to you what you do.

That's not the point. The point is that you are allowed to use the grf file only if you follow the terms of the licence. If you don't follow the terms, you have no legal right to use it.

See, I said it would just be a matter of time....

Ameecher wrote:The readme specifies that Basetunnels are for TTDP only.
Incorrect. The licence does say that it allows use in TTD or TTDP but does NOT prohibit it in any other form - you just have to gain written permission from the author. The funny thing is that all the 'do-gooders' (read; interferers) dont ever ask "do you have written permission?", they just assume that its being used incorrectly. Tut tut. Innocent until proven guilty, huh?
