Microprose and their legacy

Post by anaconda »

... or squandered remains.

I've bought Moo3, and after even seing the meaning and the light when playing that game, I think Moo2 is such a greater game in almost every aspect.

They could have done it better (QuickSilver) if they had done like the ones that made Civ3. 75% of the old games and 25 % improvements and new things. QuickSilver has just made a game that looks the same, uses the same setting. But is a total different game when speaking of gameplay. Maybe 25% old and 25% new and 50% bulls***.

I didn't like what they did to Civ3 either, but after they listened to the players and added a few shortcuts and features (like sentry) this game became the one we longed for.

This can be possible to moo3 too, but I doubt they manage to do all that we want.

Anyway, I guess a new version of TT will be like Moo3. The same name, but far inferiour to the TTDx. And of course, a lot of bugs :/

Master of Orion or MoO/Orion for short.

Orion 2 was a game that was nearly as good as Civ1.
