When constructing a building one of your primary goals is to get the building wind and waterproof. This means erecting all the walls (even the non-supportive) and putting in the glass as soon as possible. Only when a building is wind and waterproof you can start with finishing the "interior" like pouring a finishing layer of cement on floors, finishing the inside walls etc.

well actually, i've cut the finished building to make it look in construction but of course when i'll have found the right construction stages i'll remove the windows and add some more mess from workers. or maybe i'll put some scaffold because it was (and it's still) very common to use them while building such a building.

You could add safety-barriers in the third one, to make it look more like it's still under construction.

was thinking about the military set if there's some peeps interested in, i think it's a good idea, then it need to me more precise.

EDIT: oh another thing, a seaplane, i know it's impossible (yet) to implement in TTD but maybe this would unblock some coders :D

What? Bigger than the Hughes H-4 Hercules? Or was that just built later? (And no, that image is not of the H-4; the H-4 has 8 engines, not 6)

In any case, sprites 6..8 seem to be missing their wings.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

the huges H-4 first flew in 1947, this one flew in 1942 under occupation but the project was started in 1938.

specs of the late 631:
Length 43,46 m
Span 57,43 m
Height 10,10 m
under waterline 1,75 m
wing area 350 m²
Mass total 75 000 kg
Powerplants 6 Hispano Suiza 12Y-37 of 920hp each
Speed max 417 km/h
Speed cruise 304 km/h

(sorry for imperial system users)

well the wings werent yet drawed, and then i don't like the ones i've made, it looks strange but the more i look, the more i find them correct due to the little positive angle upward

I've always wished TTD could do flying boats, but I don't really see that as happening anytime soon.

well maybe we could just cheat to test, make an airport with a sea runway/taxiway or something like that it would look as a seaplane behavior and it wouldnt require a patch

Why not duplicate the normal airports in TTD and make the duplicates only look different? Like instead of a tarmac you only have straight piece of water and the buildings (are supposed to) float.
