You guys are the best!!! Evan though I have no idea what you are talking about....too many acronyms!!! Jake: thanks for the info. That mountain kinda looks like Mt. Crumpet from When the Ginch Stole Christmas.

BVZ = Brig-Visp-Zermatt railway company
MGB = Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn railway company

In response to your Grinch comment.. yes the Matterhorn probably was used as inspiration or something. It is used quite commonly, most notably on toblerone chocolate.

What is the GGB? Is it narrow gauge or standard gauge?

i present the Snow Station Fix :p

how to use:

make sure you have the normal station installed (or you will simpely get two snow stations)

install these files

in the scenario editor select the station enabler vehicle (its listed at top due to "=" prefix)

if needed select the stations in the stations tab...

ingame build the "station track" and build station on it as normal

ps. i dont know why the S bend is still avaible, i'd say ignore it
pps. this is also a lot cheaper then the narrow gauge , and there is no way for the trains to run into the station

Yes, that's what I wanted to do exactly. :) Can I use some of your code for the pack?

Actually the pantographs were wrong on the GGB Bhe 4/8 - see here:

Image

The downwards unit has two pantos, both up always, the upwards unit only has one and it's always down. At least on the photos on Railfaneurope.net.

Anyway, it's fixed and will be available in the Matterhorn pack.

Jake, I should have the landscape soon.

So I took Martin's code, did some slight changes and here's the result. Both stations can be built, they've been graphically updated (darker shadows) to fit in with the other buildings and the enabler object for the building track is a construction worker. Watch him run around your construction site. :)

Soon in the Tatra and Matterhorn packs.

graphicaly improved :)

cought you maybe also change it to fit in between stations?

(the effect you kinda get when building the platform on it, but then withought the end of platform lines)

but a nice improvement ;)

(the worker: lol)

i'm always happy to see your name as latest poster hehe

ps. thats a cheap worker: €1.3/hour xD

pps. also not able to block the S bend? :p

Yep, they were too bright before, now I think they fit perfectly. :)

I see, maybe having it a solid concrete block? Without the striped edges?

Heh - although this is in 1950. In 2009 he is making 2300 per month, which is not bad at all for his profession, at least in central europe.

Honestly I'm not really good with all the costfactor stuff, if you have a better idea on how to do this, let me know. Anyway it's fun watching him hop around. :)

Nope. :( There is one more line in the XML I want to experiment with, something with junctions according to the wiki. I'll also have a look at the tram track, it doesn't have the S bends either.

the weird thing is, that there is a bit for allowing s bends, it just doesn't seem to work xD

and yes, a conrete block :p

Image
see those in the middle? this is great for fitting in with platform, and stopping lomo from mixing up lines :)
but if they didn't have the line, they'd fit in perfectly ;)

happy about the GGB pack, it will include the MGB?
and if so, only the emu, or also some trains like this?

For now only the MGB emu from Stadler and the Bhe4/8 of GGB.

I'm thinking about going to the Gornergrat for my birthday in the autumn, so maybe I'll do more.

aww cant you also make this one?

ok didn't mean that one, found it on google, but it looks funny

i meant this one:

Image
the modern one...

and perhaps make the panto's more realistic and add new catenary for three phase?

also isn't the GGB's three phase engine more powerful then the tatra rack emu?

Lol I saw the kiddie one too. It's one of the oldest ones running nowadays, the Bhe2/4. Some of them have been converted to freight units to provide service to the hotel at the top.

I'll implement the concrete space with some additional eye candy.

As for the new emu and a new catenary, maybe for some later release (after my trip  ).

The Bhe4/8 is a bit more powerful than the 405.95 of the Tatras, 380 kW vs. 336kW. On the other hand, the Bhe 4/8 comprises of two powered units, while the 405.95 only has one powered unit and the other is merely a driving carriage. There have been times in the past when only the powered unit was running by itself, but that was very seldom.

And greetings from the Tatras - just came back to the hotel on a 425.95, although without a valid ticket as the system got changed with the introduction of Euro. ?( But tomorrow I shall be doing it the legal way.

The EMU pictured is not the most modern one on the GGB, as in the last two years ( i think) they have implemented a couple more ultra-modern ones (pictured).

so why did you make the 405.95 more powerfull in lomo? :P

Thanks. Will be fixed in the next release. :) The 405.95 is wrong, not tractive effort, but a different power value of the motor.
