You're about the max length now.
It's been done to 62 or 63 already,
A variant is my 80 tracker, which can be found here,

This "station " can be builded as large as you want. but it contains many stationnames.
The lagre station i said only has one stationname.

But not found.
chevyrider thanks for your reply.

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
Hi. I'm new to the forums and the game. I followed this tutorial and made my 2 lane stations a bit bigger. I tried using making 6 lane stations longer using this approach but I just cannot do it. I'd appreciate any help.

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
Six lane is too wide, best is 2 tracks.
You can't move the centre of gravity enough with wide stations.

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
So there's no way to make wider stations longer? Bugger. When I've built 6 lane stations, I have to shorten the whole station from 16 to about 13. Is there any way to make all 6 lanes 16 instead of having to cut them down to 13?

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
I mostly make 2 stations some 21 or 22 tiles long, next to each other.
They can be 3 tracks wide each.
So it looks like one big station.
For doing this make first 2 stations of one tile long and then work them together, make sure all tiles get the right station name.

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
If you looked through the forums you would know there is another way. You must use the long station patch, you can find it on the internet. I'm not allowed to make links to that apparently, but it's on the German Locomotion Fanpage (You need to register !!). There you can find the patch, and a tutorial to make it happen. Follow the instructions closely or you screw up you're locomotion...If you don't want to take that risk Chevy's way is the only "normal" way to make it happen...
But with that patch you will be able to make 254 tile stations instead of the 80 tile station...and (within reason) as long as you like.
This is a Coal and Iron Ore Mine Station, from here trains go to the other side of the map. Both stations are 48 tiles long and have 3 tracks and 2 platforms. On those two long stations come about 30 trains wich have all three locomotives and 30 cars behind them.
The Madatown Steelfactory Station is also 48 tiles long and has 4 tracks (the 30 trains from the mines deliver their coal and ore here), I needed it for my long Coal/Ore trains. The Madatown South Station is 32 tiles long and has 7 tracks and 1 platform, because of the immense loads of steel that are made I need lots of long trains to deliver the plastic pallets and steel to the autoparts factory on the other side of the map. The Madatown Chemical Works Station is also 32 tiles long and has 6 tracks and 2 platforms, one on each side. This is where oil gets processed into the plastic pallets and chemicals...But those plastic pallets and autoparts etc. are used to make automobiles and for that you need Plastikman's Automod wich can be found on the forums here. Just use the search-mode for that !
I tried Chevy's way and it's the best solution for making longer stations via the normal way it just takes lots of time, and because I wan't to go for more realisme and less time I do it via this way...
My topic on how to use the Long Station Patch can be found here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=50627
Good Luck !

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
^ I tried looking there on that German site (used Google translate) and couldn't find it at all And speaking of stations, I added some station depots but they don't show up in game. I put them into the ObjData folder and selected them in making my scenario but they don't show up when I'm playing the scenario. Why? I added trains this way and they all worked. Sorry form posting this here but I searched and couldn't find anything, and I didn't want to start a whole new topic. Thanks.

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
It was on the German Locomotion Fanpage...Since a few days that site is closed. I have it, but I can't share it because I haven't got the permission to do so...
It was made by Crispy and Banjobeni (as stated in the Readme file that came with the LSP), maybe I can contact them somehow. I don't know if these guys are active on this forum as well...If I get permission I can share it here on TT-Forums, but no garantees on that...

Re: Tutorial: How to make large stations.
You can find it here: http://www.locomotion-fanpage.net/wbb/i ... page=Index but nothing works there anymore and I don't know if they will open pretty soon. I hope it will, they had a lot of good stuff for the game mainly european stuff, but still very nice. I backed up everythin g that I have ever downloaded from that website (just in case this would happen )
