I already put this in the alpha progress thread
About the dll to no longer have the pauses in the game when music switches:
It's to be found here: http://www.ttdpatch.com/src/
Look at the bottom of the page: dxmci.zip
Extract it in your game directory
I tried it and the game doesn't pause anymore
But, the music is slightly different, it's difficult to explain, there is like a faint (small) mettallic echo in the distance

And, as I said before, this isn't a bug at all, it's a feature. DXMCI.DLL uses the Microsoft Synthesizer (it could use your sound card, but it's easier to tell it to use MS Synth, I think), and it turns reverb on. Which is better in my opinion. I personally use the DOS version of TTD, as it's smoother than the Windows version. I set MIDI to MPU-401 (my sound card emulates that) and I have reverb and chorus turned on in my sound card settings - the music sounds great!spaceman-spiff wrote:But, the music is slightly different, it's difficult to explain, there is like a faint (small) mettallic echo in the distance

Are you using TTDPatch 1.9.2 alpha? If not, go and get http://www.ttdpatch.com/src/latestw.zip.
