It does handle Railroad Tycoon II extremely well, but newer games suck. BTW, can anyone explain me how to make a route for those trains in Trucks and Trains Tycoon (or 3DTT)? I am too hooked up on oversimplified routines in TTD...
Do you have the latest Detonator driver pack from Nvidia? It gives your V550 a total new boost !!!.. mine even runs UT2003 at 800x600

A bit off-topic perhaps, but when you post pics, could you make them fit a 800 by 600 screen
I just keep scrolling sideways to try and read your comments, it's like a FPS :D
Or perhaps use 'enter' a bit more
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

Games like TTD and TTDX are officially 2.5D, not 2 D or 3D. 2D is what you see when you read a map (important issue for woman  ). 3D is what you get with sophisticated hardware, software and other tools. What we consider 3D on our computers is just 2.5 D. Check the manuals of several Computer Aided Design programmes like AutoCAD, Arkey or 3Dmax.

Besides that, if you change view in 2.5D games (scroll camera point up or down) you do see more. AND: someone wrote that you can't see buildings and such because they are obscured by buildings (and such) in front of them. Surely you don't complain about this in real life too, do you? I don't mean to offend whoever wrote it, it just fascinated me.

Is the game in German, or what?

Then I will not buy it.

No offence to the ones who spend hundreds of dollars on this s*** but:
playstation IS KINDA CRAPPY.... you cant blame the game.
I hate consoles. Those graphics are SOOO lame damn..
I prefer a nice geforce 4 128mb above all those damned machines together.. besides the games are also very expensive and you cant copy them.... not that we would copy them.. hell no !

The inevitable advantage of TTD to all the modern games is its design - simple, that can be percepted and understood at a glance. The most of modern games' are overloaded with those awful "fireplace grid"-like swirls surrounding all the dialog boxes :) More and more developers forget that a successfull design should be easy to use, and the originality is secondary.

There is a translator somewhere. I think there's a link on this forum somewhere.
I think the guy who made the translation didn't know a word English or Dutch and looked everything up in his dictionary.
