Webrings

Ok guys.
I know that the idea of a webring got batted about a while ago, but I was
wondering if we really want to have a go at it. I have had a look at how
hard it is to create one and its actually quite easy, after all the initial
stuff that is.
It costs nothing and I have already had a look for titles, 'The Transport
Tycoon Webring' is still up for grabs...

I'm now throwing it open to you guys.
If you want to then we will.
If not then we won't.

But I would like to point out that this is by no means a push either way...

I would rather we did this in good grace together (or at least with
blessings!)
I don't want to split up the group over a silly thing like a webring.

What say you ?

Here in the NG or by e-mail I'm not fussed.

While I was happily surfing TT stuff, there did seem to be a mail TT
Webring, it included the site with the holy somethingorother onnit (how many
of you know what I mean?)

A better webring (mining the same gold seam as Eddie) would be the official
Newsgroup Backed Webring (The NBTTW) ?

I don't have a TT Website (XENOPHOBE!!!) but I have all the facilities to
make one. But we don't need another one, so I'll just support Eddie instead.

It does already exist, have a look here:

Or for a list of the sites in it:

Unfortunately about half of the sites are dead or horribly out of date :(

I don't really think there is any need. And is there any point? All webrings
are the same, and it doesn't really matter which one a person searches.

All it does is create work for nothing.

Eddie

i'm in that ring, i might join a NG backed one, though surly we could clear
out that one and take it over, who owns it?

I'm sure we could, but we would need full group backing. I don't mind
really, I could help you lot with it if the plans do go ahead.

But this is a huge webring. 'Twould be difficult says I.
