This train is a very nice train and would be nice to have in the game. More detailed specs would be nice and hopefully somebody will have a go at making this.

I think these specs are basicly the rail buses with slightly more power and slightly more heavy.

I'd understand it, if you didn't have England as your location ;-)))

23,000 mm is the length of 1 coach. I think they have 350hp engines on each coach, i'll get the horse power double checked and let you know tomorrow

It would be fantastic if someone would make the graphics for a turbostar, and then do the stats for an electrostar or a turbostar (because they look really similar) and u kill two birds with one stone
TT-Forums are addictive, and as such should be make illegal.

Class 71, IRL a thing of beauty, no?

One of the manufacturer or alaistairgrew is a liar. ;)

Length: 23.6m
Height: 3.77m
Width: 2.7m
Power: 400hp/car
Set length: 2-3 cars
Introduced: 1998
Weight: 45t/car
Speed: 100mph

Which is considerably different from the railbus ;)

It depends on what type of Turbostar you are modelling, there are two Classes and about 8 Sub-Classes.

Common types:
Power Unit: 1 x MTU 6R 183TD of 400hp (300kW) per car
Horsepower for a 2 Car Unit: 800hp
Horsepower for a 3 Car Unit: 1200hp
Horsepower for a 4 Car Unit: 1600hp
Top Speed: 100mph
Height: 12ft 4 1/2in (3.77m)
Width: 8ft 10in (2.69m)
Vehicle length: 77ft 6in (23.62m)

Driving Motor Standard (A) seats 65 Standard
