[Released] Mars Surface Terrain version 2
Side Cliffs are included now as well as the interface and height maps. I still need to add some rocks. I'm looking at modifying a tree sprite into rocks. I will finish as I have the time.

Re: New Terrain
Actually, it will. When you create a scenario, there is a tab to set what terrains you want.Overlord1191 wrote:Of course this isn't going to drag & drop like a train. It's going to have to be included in a region right?
"Regions" in Locomotion are merely preset groupings of objects; you can actually create any combination of objects you like in the scenario editor.

Looking nice! Are you going to work on other modifications for your terrain such as industries? I know creating whole new ones is A LOT of work, but just renaming them would be cool. I'd imagine there are some minerals up there than need mining, and I know Water would be a resource that could replace Oil or Chemicals

I've been waiting for a "toyland" comment for days. THanks for meeting my (low) expectations. There's always one.tokama wrote:Good.
I love the orange style landscape.
It will be very wonderful if toyland and some types of industry and trees appear in Lomo.
Thanks and if you don't like it, then please for the love of God don't play it.

I'm actually considering making some different rocks under the trees section to "roughen" it up. I think it will look better than chunky graphics. Just an idea. Let me know what you guys think. (plus I haven't checked it out yet, it may be a ton of work)Rens2Sea wrote:Very nice, but i have just one comment![]()
make it look rougher, it looks more like Toyland then like Mars.
Brillant carry on with the good work

I'm looking at modding some of the industries. I would really like to mod a water refinery or water mining on mars (at the polar ice caps).Splat! wrote:Looking nice! This makes me almost feel bad having put the Uranium Mines on grassground
And you might want to Consider creating a darker kind of Mars-Ground, so for giving it more diversity...
If you want to, I sure can give you a hand with the rocks....

Ok I made one rock so far: The simple mars rock 1... (problem is, it looks a little like a termite hill
)
And a lot of them will produce Forest Sounds
