Building Bridges

Post by CombatGold1 »

Ok, someone help me out here. I'm having trouble building a bridge over a road. It's saying "Can only build a level crossing at the same level" or something when i have put the start ramp of the bridge
Thanks,
Adam Reece.

Well.. Then you've probably placed the bridge too low. Try build it one level higher :)

Yes. To go over a road you need to go up twice.

Just to state the same thing more generally: All types af track need two spaces above them in order for any vehicle to pass over then. So to enter a tunnel, you need a flat face that's two "units" high. To make a bridge pass over a straight area of track or road, or even over another bridge, it has to be two units higher.

Also, be aware of the remainders of T-junctions or crossings. For bridges they don't form a problem but for level crossings they do.

got the hang of bridges and subways perfectly. they really bring in profit, i put skylines above huge cities, put stations in the middle and dotted around the sky, they make absolutely truckloads of cash. same for underground.

if you want to be really l33t, you can put multiple layers of skylines. :)
Thanks,
Adam Reece.
