How about Wagons and Buses

The list looks nice and comprehensive. I was hoping someone would do one
of these soon. Just need the pictures now

Looks like the early years are a bit low on engines. Obviously CS didn't
ask the spread sheet MB uses for making train sets.

Vehicles are far from being balanced
You only get about 10 (pretty worthless) trains in North American climate

This is also very odd:

Stanier Jubilee
Designed: 1933
Obsolete: 1965
Power: 1600 hp
Max. Spd: 90 mph

Stanier Black 5
Designed: 1935
Obsolete: 1970
Power: 1600 hp
Max. Spd: 90 mph

Stanier lasts whooping 5 years longer but you have plenty of other
engies available since then
But it's fine with me, since it doesn't make the game worse

You could also add what tracks the trains run on, what modifications
they need (3rd rail/overhead electric) and the rack rail speed

For those who haven't seen it, I started work on a vehicle list with the
demo, with all this detail, which I will stick on my
(still-to-be-finished) site. I'll be updating it over the next few days,
now that I finally have the full game.

This is a very nice list. Should be sticky.

But you could also add the weight of the train locs and cars. Some locs
are considerably heavier then their counterparts which makes them pull
up slower.

Blah!

Class37s are still being used today on mainline services! and its 2004 :p
1990 is too early for them to be obseleted..

But i guess newer stuff comes along so

Around our way, they lay on two for the Friday evening peak on the
Rhymney Valley. I've even taken one to work - granted, I got there late,
but ex-Virgin Mk2s beats the pants off Pacers

Chris: look at it like this:
ONE Country in the ENTIRE world still uses the outdated Imperial
measurements. That one country makes up about 0.5% of the world's
population.

Disagree - over three hundred million people (US and UK) equals 5%.
Blame Napoleon for the metric stuff!

I used mph since we have more english speaking guests in this forum
KPH will be added as soon as I finish this list
Modifications that need to be done to the track will also be added
And no, I won't add weight to the list since this is a quick reference
for people that want to know
a) what vehicles can I expect
and
b) when will the next good train be available

Edit:
1.) Screenshots will be added as soon as the list is done
2.) This is not the place to discuss imperial and metric measure
3.) Don't complain about missing kW, I'll add them when I add the KPH
since I need to install the game in German

Re: locomotion - list of vehicles

Post by Gomez »

and you'll get lots of help, but if you
fool around with a U.S. oil company, we'll cut you off
without a penny. Is that right?

It was no day at the beach answering that kind of question with
Bobby staring a hole through you.

By 1963, after the Bay of Pigs, the Missile Crisis and the cries
for escalation in Vietnam, Kennedy was moving toward the Sorenson-
Schlesinger side of the White House. By 1968, RFK was further to
the left than that, being hooked up with labor leaders like
Walter Reuther and Cesar Chavez. As Otis Chandler, a firm member
of the establishment, said after Bobby's death: "I guess there's
no one to stand up for the weak and the poor now." That memory is
now being replaced by those of RFK cavorting with Monroe on the
beach; of JFK drinking martinis with Monroe's buddy Giancana; and
the Kennedys trying to take her life as they tried with Castro.

In the Anson piece, Hersh talks about changing the way people
think about the Kennedys. Talk about reversing the Church
Committee. That was just the beginning. These people could teach
Orwell something.

What will the future bring? Will Exner, still dying of cancer,
demand a DNA sample from John Kennedy Jr. to prove Jackie was
really his mother? Will Summers file a lawsuit demanding the
government turn over RFK's private snuff film of Monroe's murder?
