OpenTTD Starter

Post by ozzysm12 »

After experiencing problems with multiplayer and reading a post called "Readme if you have problems with multiplayer" on the problems forum, I decided to make a small program to easily start the game up in the correct "mode".

The program gives you the following options
1) Open normally
2) Open as server
3) Open as client
4) Open and join a company

You can download this program from here http://www.freeksoft.net/OpenTTDStarter.zip.
To install it, simply extract the “OpenTTD Starter.exe” file to the root folder of the game, and change the shortcut for the game to point to “OpenTTD Starter.exe” instead of OpenTTd.exe”.

Program is really simple but I think some people will find it useful.

What do you mean correct mode? When you want server you click on multiplayer and select map, etc.... same goes for clients.

Dedicated servers will probably have their own shortcuts and configurations for this. What would this program be used for?
