My entry was also on a cross country tour, well 3/4 of the country anyways. My shot taken 2nd day into the 5000 km journey.

As epic and as much I love that shot, it doesn't really meet transport criteria in my eyes.
As a great pity as it is, you are right. If the carpark was more in view I'd accept it. As much as it pains me though, I have to keep it fair. Irish, I sent you a PM about it. Please do see if you have any other photos like that which may fit :D

Decided on my entry. Could have gone with bridges, or a shot of a boat but wanted something different. Surprised no one has done something like this :P
What used water? A steam engine ;)

That contest is over, and the image hasn't been accepted due to the lack of transport, but I wonder, if panoramas are allowed anyway. Are they? Is stitching&distorting considered too much editing, or isn't it?
Or should we make a panorama-topic one month, where it is allowed?

I've never really thought about that. Depends how they are stitched since some cameras have panoramic modes built in or they have software that stitches it together.
Very good point actually. I'll have to get back to you on that one. I'll permit panorama's for now till I can work it out :)

Why wouldn't panoramas be allowed? It's a legitimate photographic technique, and stitching photos together isn't exactly editing in the sense of putting in or removing certain elements of a picture to alter it dishonestly.

Hence why I said:

I think panoramas should definitely be allowed or are we going to ban fish-eye lens etc.

Strictly speaking then, my failed entry last round shouldn't count because I used the tilt-shift setting on my camera ;)
