Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
Arctic was added yesterday, so that should work now too.
The project is a long way from being complete, so it does no screwing up, it just does not repair some of them yet.

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
My apologies I assumed it was just a bug that nobody noticed yet. But its working great for the artctic that is
On the other hand it is a real major project one of the biggest of OTTD yet. So I think the project is not far from completing if you see how much work is done already. And with this great community it only takes till end of this year to get the rest finished. From there it should only be bug fixing and fine tuning.

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
The reason the tropical house and tropical coast is not yet added, is that they are based on unlicensed work, so I don't want to include that.
Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
I've managed to track down the statue made by Ben Robbins. It is not in the Base Set Files. Furthermore, for some reason they need to be in 2 directories. The 1454_z0.png needs to go in the trg1r and the 310_z0.png in trghr (or ogfx1_base and ogfxh_tropical, though they might need renumbering).

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
Do you know which number we have to assign to use it in the ogfx1_base?
Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
It's the same numbers for both. Usually they don't require renumbering except if the sprite is located in openttdw. So,Antonio1984 wrote:Do you know which number we have to assign to use it in the ogfx1_base?

Remember that It is a preview file. Ben Robbins will release a finished version in the future.Xand wrote:I've managed to track down the statue made by Ben Robbins. It is not in the Base Set Files. I know. As soon as he releases a new version the sprites will replaced, but for the moment it is good enough.maquinista wrote:Remember that It is a preview file. Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
I have updated the file with bridges:
http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=39
I have added z1 and z2 sprites for suspension, cantilever and plain entrances.

Ops... this is because I have the power station sprites in the same folder than I have the suspension bridge sprites.neob wrote:your file still contains the power station sprites

same for the files on the repo some updates was made, to try to make it more organized and up to date.

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
There was a list of artists' content licensing declarations somewhere a while back, anyone have a link?

I collected them here and put up a short blurb on licensing requirements: http://wiki.openttd.org/32bit_Graphics_Licensing

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
Jupix: A very much needed page, big well done. Thanks.
For someone who has a better knowledge of licensing: Varivar for example has stated any licence, but with credit. Does the 'but' not void the 'any'? i.e. can the work be released with voluntary credit under a licence that doesn't demand credit, meaning someone else can re-release it without credit?
neob: I shall return shortly, don't worry, in a more contributing form than at present as well hopefully.
If someone plays around with any sprites I've made and pm's them to me I may release my contribution of the made sprites, but unless it meets the OTTD style, and fits in seemingly without glitch's, and doesn't look as bad as some pre LS work, and pre 'anything standardised' work; then it's got a chance!

Re: Organizing 32bpp sprites
What Varivar did when he said that was not license the works, but make a contract with us, authorizing us to choose a suitable license for him. Where "suitable" by his definition means the license has a clause of required attribution. If we were to choose something without it, we would be overstepping our bounds of authority in that particular case (overruling his definition), and if he sued us for it, we'd lose.Ben_Robbins_ wrote: For someone who has a better knowledge of licensing: Varivar for example has stated any licence, but with credit. Some disclaimers are in order, however:
* This is from the perspective of general laws regarding contracts, not licensing legislation
* IANAL
* And this is based on laws in my country only.
