Sounds like fun. I'm in if we're ever doing such a game. :)

For great justice!

AKA me staking a claim and letting you know I'm up for it. Could be a lot of fun with infrastructure sharing on a multiplayer - the only problem being that the game may progress 50 years when only one person is online? Unless we perhaps only play when we can all be on, but that could be awkward...

Either way, fantastic idea - how about we take the franchise a little further and certain companies are responsible for certain tracks and stations - you have to make sure that any hub stations you control are large enough, and if the link between two of your stations happens to be part of a joint route, it's your responsibility to make sure it has reasonable capacity (as long as you're warned in advance about any major changes to timetables)

I'm also tempted to suggest the UK scenario knocking about - make london a tad smaller and add in another 20 towns and that thing can eat up hours.

What revision? Today's trunk or just 0.7.1?

I was kinda hoping for infrastructure sharing is all, maybe even cargod*st... livens things up a bit with operating stations and tracks and having to keep them sufficient for what others want to do.

I think all the lines are full? I should've joined earlier. Has anyone got some games for a guy who hasn't played multiplayer before?

I am unfamiliar with the multiplayer interface - I can't find a server named 'Franchise'. I also don't know what IS2Beta is and all the lines on the original post are taken up with usernames. Thanks A LOT.

You have to add the server yourself with this IP: 194.63.149.126

IS2 can be found here: http://mz.openttdcoop.org/bundles/is2/IS2.0-beta3/

The original post here is many years old. :)

Oh yeah! Just noticed that. Thanks for the help, I got the version running successfully. If this is a different set-up, is the 'Franchise' idea still running? If so, where could I grab a map to show me my 'rights'? Is the server up and running between those times yet?

Sorry, I'm absolutely full of questions today. Thanks though.

Aah, OK. Also is this going to be a co-op style game, as the version comes from co-op?

So I'm going straight into the deep end with this. I'm guessing I should check out the tutorials on the site? I have built mainlines (mostly with only one track each way) and such before, but I am unfamiliar with the concept of openttdcoop.
