The only thing that's driving me mad is your signals are on the wrong side of the tracks for the direction of travel. Otherwise, very nice stuff.

Like it a lot! Inspiring me to get back into my game! Well done!

Those level crossings....are they are a part of the track set you're using?

Do you mean the trains are on the wrong side or the signals? Because if its signals then yeah, they should really be on the outside of the tracks rather than inside....

The signals. All to do with the "vehicles drive on the ...." setting.

Very nice designs. Appealingly simple and visually appealing. Not an easy thing to achieve. Take Badger's advice though and change up the the signal side lest we all become befuddled by misdirection.

Advanced Settings -> Signals -> Show signals on the drive side -> ON

Or game options > drive on left. That strikes me as the more likely cause of the problem here.

You can unless you've built a road vehicle. After that you can't change it.

Garforth Rail

So, after weeks of getting 'back into' the game, playing with different sets and finding which i'm comfortable with, and spamming you with many random screens of different games, I can finally give you a proper game with descriptions!! I need to note that Town names have changed since these screens were taken, I prefer naming my towns myself as I play rather than having a name grf already set up....
Main GRF's in this game are the UKRS + expansion with real world colours, eGRVTS for road use and canadian stations and road sets too. Odd mix I know, but visually they look great together.

Map is 256x512, here's an overview of the map:

Image

So, the current network takes up a 3rd of the map, year being 1917 with a starting year of 1900. The 3 lines that lead south are all Iron Ore and Steel lines. The passenger routes are purely along the west and north edges.

Image

Our first screen shows Wronnington, a 4-4-0 'Edwardian' sits on platform two as an 0-6-0 'Goods' with a small passenger service pulls into platform 3. We can also see one of a fleet of 2-6-0 'Mogul' with an empty Iron Ore train rumbling along the goods bypass. (I do love the variety of the open wagons Pikka :)).

Image

Down in Taningwell the main station actually serves this town and Punttown, another two 2-6-0 'Mogul's can be seen in this shot, as well as the second 'Edwardian' in an alternative livery motoring down the main line.

Image

Another of the central stations on the west coast, Tefingpool servers most of the passenger services of the network. The same 'Edwardian' with its passenger service is pulling out of the station, while at the top a local service hauled by a 0-6-0 'Jinty' chugs along on its Great Brutway - Tefingpool - Taningwell service.

Image

Our final picture is up north at Fadingtown. Another 'Edwardian' can be seen again. But more of an interest is the local line that serves platforms 6 and 7. Two 2-2-2 'Lady's serve this line, while the electrification is for a Farm service hauled by an 'NE EF1' down to Slaningwell factory.

Thats all for today, updates soon with better town names

Very good one, though I think it might look better without most of the parking spots at the top right.
