If you want your stay in this NG to be well-received, I suggest you try

Just a suggestion.
I don't want to stay in this NG anymore, because I find the lack of on topic
threads disturbing. I only made one OT thread, and the other ones I just
responded to.

It's not like this NG has any real positive qualities. Probably because NGs are
international.

And that's right, I am a troll. I live in the lower peninsula of Michigan,

Christ! That must be one hungry person!

Wow.

In the U.S., the working class have lunch and dinner. There is no breakfast.

Does anyone know what the real difference between 'supper' and 'dinner' is?

Naw, it wasn't an insult. I just like British accents. Hey, don't you have
that
expression 'time to eat tea' or something silly like that? How do you eat
tea?
Well, you could freeze it...

You've been watching too many stereotypical English films, portraying us all
as snobs.
No chance.
We don't all talk like that
Only the rich have 'tea' (I have tea, but not in the same meaning)
We have many different ways of life
Just like the US
We all have accents
We all have different pronunciations.

Basically, the films are HORRIBLY WRONG
Not all British people talk like that? Awww... that makes them un-cool.
(WARNING: INCOMING OFF-TOPIC PARAGRAPH)

Oh, and that reminds me. I'm 14 (glorious age of constant insults and
non-stop
blabbering of things, not to mention the overuse of the words 'thing' and
'like') and am doing a research paper on Chernobyl's explosion and the
resulting aftermath... do any of you 'nice' Europeans have any news
articles or
something you could copy for me about it? Say... e-mail it right over here
to
my totally useless America On Hold account? Enschec...@aol.com, eh?

I'm 14, I don't use 'thing' and 'like' like some people in my class do

'ahhhh...likkkkkkkkkkkkkkkke....unnnh....what d'yer do 'ere like?'

(Above: impression of slappers in my class asking me for answers)

I've got a scouse accent, but no way is it as bad as something like that.

Eddie
I think it's something genetic, because I use 'thing' and 'like'
subconsciously.

Could be the pollution which causes my mouth to move faster than my brain...

thanks for backing the newsgroup.

Did I say it was my group?

No.

I wouldn't want moderating, as it would ruin the group.
I know I can't conversations, but I am entitled to my opinion and my voicing
of it.
All that I am saying, is that debates like this will never be settled, so
why bother with it? You only end up with flames galore, and that results

Going even further off topic - Did you hear about the chap who
rang up his help desk to complain that his PC had completely
locked up and wouldn't do anything? The analyst asked if there
was any message displayed. "Oh, yes.", he replied, "It says 'It
is now safe to turn off your computer'".

Person: "I can't find my CD drive. Where do I put the CD?"

there a little button there?"
